The case of Massachusetts authorities essentially kidnapping a girl away from her Catholic parents because they refused to accept her school’s claim that she became a boy is rightly causing national outrage. But the horrifying reality is that this is just one instance of the fact that lefties and commies have never believed in parental rights.
From secretive gender transitions to sexual grooming in schools to forcible vaccination to shows and movies portraying parents as stupid or wicked, leftists in America have for quite a long time been deliberately undermining parental rights. To some extent, Democrats have always believed in the subjectivity of parental rights, as we saw during the days of slavery, with families sold away from each other. But the lack of respect for parents’ decisions became particularly marked and ubiquitous on the left after socialism thoroughly infected the Democrat Party. Commies definitely don’t respect parents’ rights over their kids.
President Joe Biden asserted in 2023, “There is no such thing as someone else’s child. Our nation’s children are all our children.” Then-White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre subsequently claimed while talking about mutilating transgender “treatments”, “These are kids. These are our kids. They belong to all of us.” Gov. Gavin Newsom’s wife Jennifer just declared, “If your platform reaches our children, you have the responsibility to protect our children.” And Islamist Democrat Abdul El-Sayed posted last month, “All our kids are all our kids.”
During the Biden administration, I quoted G. K. Chesterton, who had reacted to a similar claim of universal parentage in the early 20th century by saying that a certain philanthropist "...got the exactly correct formula for the worst and most poisonous of all the political wrongs that rot out the entrails of the world. That is what has wrecked democracy; wrecked domesticity through the breadth and depth of democracy; wrecked dignity… that is what has taken away from the poor man the pride and honor of the father of a household… his children are not his children; and democracy is dead.”

Chesterton knew what the problem was more than a century ago. He already saw the warning signs that the socialistic elites wanted to take over the role of parenting in society. Unfortunately, most Westerners were not as farsighted as he was about the danger. Communists have always believed in putting themselves in charge of everything in society, including the role of parent. When people like Biden claim universal ownership of children, what they really mean is that they think the supposedly enlightened elites and experts must make decisions about children’s bodies and education and future paths, because parents are too stupid and backward to know what is good for them.

Socialism has always destroyed every country where it becomes dominant; it is impossible to alter one’s biological sex, abolishing private property encourages mass theft and chaos, and people with aristocratic or political titles are often the least likely to bring positive changes in society. None of that impacts the arrogance and ideology of commies. They are certain that they are superior, regardless of facts.

Joseph and Arlene Kutzko lost custody of their daughter Sophie because the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families sided with the Algonquin Regional High School that outrageously “transitioned” her in secret. A judge has temporarily paused testosterone injections for Sophie, but God knows how much permanent physical and psychological damage the woke authorities in Massachusetts will have done to Sophie (and her parents) by the end of this case.
But the Massachusetts leftists don’t care how much permanent damage they do to Sophie. This was never about what was good for her or what was just for the parents. This case is not about the Constitution or scientific evidence. It was always about imposing wokies’ own sick ideology on the next generation. Multiple families or parents have lost custody of their kids for refusing to “trans” them, even in red states like Texas. Never trust a Commie with your kids, because he will never respect your parental rights if your opinions conflict with his.
