We all know Democrats are hypocritical, but Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Georgia) just hit a new low for hypocrisy on ID requirements.
Ossoff, you see, is openly opposed to requiring voter ID for voting in United States elections, which would prove whether a voter is a citizen and legally allowed to cast a ballot or not. But when it came to his own recent campaign event, the Democrat senator suddenly became squeamish and required photo ID for entrance. Apparently he believes he is much more important and sacred than our country’s elections.
Just the News obtained an email Ossoff’s team sent to supporters before his Saturday rally. “A matching government-issued ID will be verified against the RSVP list by name to enter,” the email said.
Why are some conservatives now mocking Ossoff? Because he has openly opposed legislation — the SAVE America Act — that would, among other election integrity reforms, mandate voter ID in order to vote in U.S. elections. In fact, in a Facebook post last year, Ossoff railed against the SAVE Act, “This is a nakedly partisan, totally unworkable, bad faith bill cynically intended to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters.” Democrats always claim that racial minorities and married women have a harder time getting the requisite ID, but the fact is that a majority of voters from all ethnic groups support requiring a voter ID. The Democrats’ real objection is that voter ID would exclude illegal aliens and dead people from casting ballots (in other words, it prevents fraud). Ossoff wasn't concerned about the "racism" of ID requirements when it came to his event.

How ironic that End Citizens United gave Ossoff an A+ rating on its 2026 Anti-Corruption Scorecard. Talk about gross irony. He doesn't target corruption; he is corrupt.
This voter ID contradictoriness from Ossoff exposes not only a personal moral and political failing in him, but is illustrative of a larger trend of hypocrisy within the Democrat Party. How can we forget that the same Democrats now screeching in horror at the prospect of voter ID were all in on requiring vaccine passports during the COVID-19 pandemic? How many Democrat state politicians supported a form of vaccine passport, and have we forgotten how many military and government employees had to leave their jobs because they wouldn't get the experimental vaccines as Joe Biden's handlers demanded?
After the insane tyranny of the Covid-19 vaccine passports and destructive lockdowns, Democrats never have a leg to stand on again about voter ID. Ossoff and his fellow Democrats aren't opposed to voter ID because it's racist, but because it makes election fraud more difficult.
Indeed, as recently as last year, Ossoff and his fellow Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock were demanding that HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy resign because he was trying to apply objective science and give parents and patients a little more control over their decisions about vaccines. So as long as you take every experimental vaccine Democrats like and obey every unconstitutional power play they enact, you can vote without an ID. How generous.
