It seems as if a day cannot go by without leftists coming up with some absurd but dangerous lie about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The latest one is a hoax that ICE detained a five-year-old child. In reality, officers protected the child after the father abandoned him.
If ever a leftist says ICE abused a child in some way, you can be 99.99% sure he's full of garbage. Even under the Biden administration, Border Patrol would risk their lives to rescue illegal alien children, and now ICE is helping arrest child abusers, pedophiles, and human traffickers. The people endangering children are the illegal aliens and leftist rioters, not ICE.
There seems to be an extraordinary base assumption in leftist media and activism that if an individual is a parent, he or she is automatically innocent and must never be arrested. That was the point of calling trafficker and gang affiliate Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “Maryland dad” — as if criminals never have children! Many criminals and terrorists have children, and they abuse and abandon them, like the child of the fleeing illegal alien.
Not only are the usual leftist activists and media hacks in America spreading the latest lie, but even Britain’s BBC trumpeted the hoax. There really is an international effort to fuel violent hatred against federal immigration officers (China already got in on it). Such lies are completely irresponsible at a time when assaults on ICE are up 1,347%.
ICE took the time to respond to the BBC’s deceptive headline on X. “All the BBC does is lie,” the U.S. agency wrote in understandable exasperation. “ICE did not, and has never, ‘used a child as bait.’ The child was ABANDONED.”

Then, ICE went on to give the real story. “On January 20, ICE conducted a targeted operation to arrest Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias an illegal alien from Ecuador who was RELEASED into the U.S. by the Biden administration.” The Biden administration allowed in nearly 7 million illegal aliens in just the first three years of its term, which has left the Trump administration a massive catastrophe to clean up.
ICE went on, “As agents approached the driver Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, fled on foot — abandoning his child. For the child’s safety, one of our ICE officers remained with the child while the other officers apprehended Conejo Arias. Parents can take control of their departure and receive a free flight and $2,600 using the CBP Home app.”
That is excessively generous. ICE is offering U.S. taxpayer money and a free flight to foreign criminals who are not even permitted to be in America to begin with, and yet ICE is the bad guys?

Amazing how the same leftists sniffling about the children of illegal alien criminals weren’t bothered by the 320,000 children trafficked into the United States of whom the Biden-Harris administration lost track. One HHS whistleblower even said the Biden administration knowingly placed children with traffickers. The Trump administration has located nearly 130,000 of them, and many were suffering exploitation and abuse.
So spare me the crocodile tears, BBC and the rest. You never cared about the children.
