The tyranny-loving, Israel-hating Australian government is reacting to the massacre of Jews at Bondi Beach at the hands of two ISIS-tied terrorists not by addressing the rampant problem of violent antisemitism, but by confiscating their citizens’ guns.
America’s Founding Fathers always emphasized that taking guns away from law-abiding citizens simply ensures that there will be no self-protection for innocent people when criminals strike. That is why gun control havens like Chicago are such hotspots of gun violence. If there had been more armed citizens at Bondi Beach, perhaps 15 people would not have died. The Australian government has been rewarding and supporting Islamic terrorists while encouraging violent antisemitism. That is the problem, not the fact that a few Australian citizens have guns.

But the Australian government really knows that. It has been shipping in Muslim migrants and either ignoring or siding with protests by Muslims and leftists in favor of antisemitic terrorism and genocide. The Australian government recognized a Palestinian state, immediately eliciting a message of gratitude from the murderous terror group Hamas.

When a genocidal jihad group praises you for “political courage,” you should know you are on the wrong side of history — but instead, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese did not acknowledge that he was wrong to reward Hamas. Nor is he going to do so. His initial message on the massacre did not even mention that it specifically targeted Jews at a Hanukkah celebration and that the shooters were Muslim. What he saw was not an opportunity to reassess his policies, but an opportunity to impose more tyranny.
Like any petty dictator, Albanese does not want to let a crisis go to waste. As we saw during the excessively dictatorial COVID-19 lockdowns in Australia, the leftist government there loves nothing better than trampling the rights and freedoms of its citizens.
Australian police arrested seven more would-be jihadis yesterday, heading for Bondi Beach. The problem is ideological, fueled by Islam and its allies on the political left. The problem is not guns. In fact, a Hamas official just smugly predicted that there will be more massacres like the one at Bondi Beach, and boasted of global Jihad. The father and son who committed the massacre were linked to an ISIS terror cell in Sydney, for which at least one of them was previously investigated by Australian authorities, who dropped the case. In the year following the October 7 atrocities, there was reportedly a 300% rise in antisemitic attacks in Australia.
Albanese does not want to address the root causes of the massacre that claimed the lives of 15 Jews, including a Holocaust survivor and a 10-year-old. To address the root causes, he would have to admit that his entire ideology is warped and that he absolutely contributed to fueling violence. He would have to acknowledge the danger of allowing large numbers of Muslims to immigrate to his country and stop siding with the terrorists in Gaza.
This is all about Albanese and his fellow leftists consolidating tyrannical power over their citizens. The Bondi Beach massacre is just an excuse for him to oppress the innocent and ignore the guilty.
