Australia Sided With Gaza. Then Jews Were Massacred on Hanukkah

Following years of anti-Israel and antisemitic rhetoric from the Australian government and open support for the Palestinian terrorists, two Muslim terrorists murdered a dozen Jews at a Hanukkah celebration today. Words have consequences, and all the Australian officials who helped fuel hatred against Jews and empathy for jihadists are complicit.

There has been a significant rise in global antisemitic rhetoric ever since the horrific October 7 atrocities on Israelis, particularly from the political left, but also now from the political right. When governments such as Australia’s signal that they are on the side of terrorists and do not have an issue with those who murder Jews simply for being Jews, they are practically inviting such mass shootings as we saw at Bondi Beach to occur.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in September rewarded genocidal Hamas and the jihad-funding Palestinian Authority (PA) by recognizing a “Palestinian state.” He and his Foreign Minister Penny Wong bragged “alongside Canada and the United Kingdom, [Australia] is part of a coordinated international effort to build new momentum for a two-state solution.” As an important piece of context, the Arabs who now call themselves Palestinians have been refusing their own state for decades in favor of trying to obliterate Israel. As far back as the early 20th century, Muslims were given the invented nation of Jordan to pacify them, which it did not.

But it is no wonder that, immediately after the above nations made their announcement, Hamas specifically thanked them for coming out in favor of a Palestinian state. Besides expressing enthusiastic gratitude to Australia and the other Western countries, Hamas once again affirmed its determination to wipe Israel off the map by aiming to “put an end to the Zionist occupation, establish a fully sovereign Palestinian state and guarantee the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people.” Zionist occupation, of course, is the deceptive propaganda term for Israel.

Hamas knew what the Bondi Beach killers knew — that Albanese and co. were explicitly coming out in favor of terrorism. The Australian government has consistently throughout the war between Israel and Hamas bewailed the situation of Palestinian jihadists while vilifying Israel. And unsurprisingly, in the year following the October 7 atrocities, there was reportedly a 300% rise in antisemitic attacks in Australia too. From graffiti to synagogue arson, from attempted bombings to vandalism, anti-Jewish attacks have plagued Australia.

And yet Albanese is so unrepentant, so determined not to change his ways, that he did not even mention the fact that the Bondi Beach massacre was specifically Muslims targeting Jews at a Jewish holiday celebration in his statement. Not even a hint that there was a religious motivation.

This deadly attack at Bondi Beach was the culmination of years of antisemitic rhetoric and pro-Islamist actions from the Australian government and activists. In 2023, a crowd at the Sydney Opera House chanted “gas the Jews.” Albanese didn’t care. And the Muslim terrorists who gunned down Jewish families at Bondi Beach knew that in Australia, it was open season on Jews.
