A scientist advising the Michigan State Board of Education wants all you stupid peasants to know that you are not qualified to make decisions for your children. Only he and his fellow enlightened elites can do that.
“I’m sorry, parents do not know best. Scientists know best. Experts know the best. So I strongly suppose — support the standards, uh, and, uh, to enable and empower all students to feel safe,” the scientist sneered, so eager to insult critics of new radical LGBTQ sex education that he couldn’t even speak straight. And as we know, nothing makes all students feel safe like being told members of the opposite sex should be able to invade their bathrooms, and teachers should be able to sexualize them in class without parental supervision. Unfortunately, the new sex ed standards were approved.

The problem is, the scientist is not just one random individual. He is emblematic of the thinking of the entire Democrat Party and leftist entities all around the world. They truly believe they are so enlightened and superior that it is not only their ability, but their right, to steal children from parents and indoctrinate them into leftism. It is the worst kind of paternalism, where elites say they must raise other people‘s children because they are elites.
Ironically, of course, it would be hard to find a group that has made more bad decisions and given more harmful advice than leftist scientists at this moment. From the COVID-19 lockdowns to climate alarmism to transgender ideology, scientists in the mainstream have been pushing the most deadly and destructive lies for decades now. This scientist is literally endorsing the biological impossibility of transgenderism and advising kids be exposed to extremely harmful homosexual lifestyles, so he is obviously untrustworthy.
For a very long time, American parents have been following scientists’ advice on the drugs they give their children and the schools they allow them to attend and the diagnoses they accept. It has created a whole society of dysfunctional, lonely, unhappy, dependent, woke victims. If there’s one thing we learned from Covid, it was not to trust The Science. Parents are realizing how much they have been lied to.
Experts are fallible, and when they allow their preconceived ideology to impact all of their analyses and decisions, the likelihood is that they are more often wrong than right. That is especially true in our society, where most of the schools training and organizations certifying the experts were corrupt to begin with. The great economist Milton Friedman warned that our mania for licensed and certified experts forming a jealously guarded elitist cadre would lead to massive problems, and he was more right than even he realized.
America is plagued with worship of experts. But the experts failed our children. The scientist is the problem, which is why he is furious at the parents who are calling him out. Unfortunately, Michigan children will be receiving the sex education that he endorsed.
America was founded as a republic, and as a country that safeguarded a man’s property and children against the encroachment of elites, whether they call themselves dukes or lords or financiers or experts. The United States was specifically established as a country that rejected elitism and all its works. And yet the anti-American Democrat Party has been trying to institutionalize elitism for more than two centuries. This worship of experts is the newest phase.
Of course, should any expert ever challenge woke ideology, he is treated as if his opinions were completely illegitimate. One must have the “right” opinions to be considered a god in the Marxist pantheon. But parents are always to be considered inferior, because they have not been certified for their role by the state. Leftists don’t believe in natural rights, they believe in their experts’ pronouncements — and the oppressive power of the state.
