Israeli Foreign Minister: UK Government Ignored Deadly Antisemitism

The Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs called out the Keir Starmer government in the UK for its failure to curb violent antisemitism in the British Isles. But the reality is even worse — the UK government has taken an actively pro-jihadi stance.

Following Syrian Islamist Jihad Al-Shamie’s deadly attack on a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur, many people are pointing to how antisemitic and pro-Islamist the British government has been from the king and the Prime Minister Starmer on down in recent years, particularly in recent months. The synagogue attack did not occur in a vacuum; it was not a one-off. It is part of the dangerous continuum of increasing hatred for Israel in particular and Jews in general from both the woke left and Muslim migrants in the UK and other Western nations.

Israeli MFA Gideon Sa’ar posted on X, “I am appalled by the murderous attack near the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester on the morning of the holiest day for the Jewish people: Yom Kippur. My deepest condolences go to the families who have lost their loved ones, and I wish a swift and full recovery to the injured.”

While expressing solidarity with the “wonderful Jewish community of Britain,” Sa’ar also highlighted the fact that it is “currently suffering from a horrific wave of antisemitism. The truth must be told: blatant and rampant antisemitic and anti-Israeli incitement, as well as calls of support for terror, have recently become a widespread phenomenon in the streets of London, in cities across Britain, and on its campuses.”

But did the British government or law enforcement care? No. They are too busy arresting their citizens for memes and tweets to pay attention to actually dangerous movements and crimes. Thus, they “have failed to take the necessary action to curb this toxic wave of antisemitism and have effectively allowed it to persist,” Sa’ar emphasized. “We expect more than words from the Starmer government. We expect and demand a change of course, effective action, and enforcement against the rampant antisemitic and anti-Israeli incitement in Britain.”

But as I noted earlier, this is not just an issue of authorities refusing to address the problem; they are contributing to the problem. The UK government has been bringing in numerous Muslim illegal migrants, particularly young men, housing and feeding them on British taxpayer money, and refusing to require them to assimilate in any way. In fact, whenever a Muslim commits a terror attack, forms a rape gang, or disrespects British laws and culture, it is the British complainants who are treated as the problem. That has been especially true this year as the British government cracks down on free speech and provides special favors to Muslims while arresting those who criticize them.

From the Muslim call to prayer at Windsor Castle earlier this year to the Anglican Church issuing guidance on holding Muslim prayer services in Christian cathedrals to the Labour government’s dangerous definition of “Islamophobia,” it is obvious that UK authorities are determined to glorify the victimizers and punish the victims. To crown it all, the UK government recognized a state of Palestine, a move which prompted explicit gratitude and triumph from genocidal Hamas.

Starmer and all the other British politicians who sided with Hamas and who arrested citizens critical of Islam can spare us the emotional messages about how tragic the synagogue attack is. They are complicit in the deadly violence.
