After a teacher sneered at Charlie Kirk’s death and slandered the assassinated TPUSA founder, students from his school publicly took a stand to expose his hate. This is exactly what Charlie wanted — young people standing for the truth against radical leftists within schools.
Just before he was killed, Kirk had set a new goal for himself and his team — putting a chapter of his high school branch, Club America, at every high school in America. He knew that if we are going to save this country, we have to have millions of young people on our side. What better way to honor his legacy as a young student than by taking on the leftist hatred and lies against which Kirk fought until his death?
Benjamin Fillo, a teacher and president of NEA Barrington in Rhode Island, released a nauseating video after Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Fillo hurled numerous false accusations, including asserting Kirk “hated the LGBTQ community… women’s rights… democracy,” even though he simply “debated young college students.” Fillo labeled Kirk a “piece of garbage” and implied that Kirk was to blame for his own murder — “This is what happens” — and stated his firm and irrelevant belief that it was certainly a white man who killed Kirk. “Bye, Charlie,” Fillo snarked. Just the sort of person you want to be teaching your kids on a taxpayer-funded salary, right?
Several Barrington students spoke out to ask for this teacher to lose his job in light of his comments. “We decided to come out and give our perspective on this subject considering it is our teacher and one of the people that will guide our futures,” said the first boy. “No matter what anyone says to me, I will never stand for violence, especially at the murder of a man who was publicly murdered in front of his wife, one of his children, thousands of students, and other bystanders.”
The student challenged Fillo’s lies: “Charlie was not a racist, he did not hurt anyone sexually, and he did not kill anyone. Therefore, this was an unjustified cause of death that should never be celebrated. So if you ask me, Charlie’s children do not deserve to grow up without their father. Charlie’s wife did not deserve to lose her husband. Charlie did not deserve to lose his life because of a different opinion. But this teacher deserves to lose his job.” I second that.
UPDATE: Three courageous Barrington students ask for teacher Ben Fillo to be fired for his post celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk.

The second student explained their reasons further: “As civilians and people of our great country, we hold ourselves to a higher standard than to support, or worse yet, rejoice in violence. Someone who advocated for an arrested murderer and assassinator of one of the greatest debaters and free speakers of our time should have no place in the classroom — more so around young children.”
The third student added, “As a student of Barrington High, I do not feel comfortable or safe with one of our teachers supporting violence. We believe this world needs God because something as cruel as this should never be celebrated. God bless Charlie Kirk, and rest in peace, Mr. Kirk.”

As I mentioned above, this is particularly inspiring in light of Kirk‘s dream of getting a TPUSA chapter at every one of America’s 23,000 high schools. Since Kirk’s death, TPUSA has received 37,000 new chapter applications. Kirk’s seemingly impossible goal is being accomplished much faster than anyone could have imagined. Kirk would no doubt have been grieved at the explosion of leftist celebration following his assassination, but he would also have been touched and proud to realize how many young Americans he had inspired to become active patriots.
Young people are the future, without whom we cannot take back the country, and no one knew that better than Charlie Kirk.
