Logan Clements, producer of the anti-Obamacare film Sick and Sicker: Obamacare Canadian Style, says that he has never been audited by the IRS in his entire life.
But now he tells the Washington Times that it’s happening. The IRS is auditing him, and in a way that suggests politics is at work.
[H]e says the IRS is demanding a “ridiculously long list” of documents, including “a detailed description of all transactions related to all prior year returns and supporting documentation.”
“It sounds like a fishing expedition by the IRS to tie me up for a very long time in retaliation for making a movie against Obamacare,” Mr. Clements says. “Perhaps they were hoping that voters wouldn’t see my movie before the election by keeping me tied up in a battle with the IRS. Well, in fact, their action is going to have the complete opposite effect.”
Clements says that thanks to the audit, he intends to release the film early. And he needs help. Take a look.
Clements’ audit comes just a month after Breitbart announced that it is being audited by the IRS.
