How is it that a scandal is only a scandal when it concerns a Republican? Even when the suffix added comes from a far worse scandal that the media have minimized for more than a year now?

Supposing he was involved, which is not certain, Christie’s scandal is petty and stupid. But no one died as a result of it, and he didn’t use it to attack the freedom of speech.
Updated: As noted in comments, someone evidently did die because of the GWB closure.
