Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) said men should “just shut the hell up” on everything from abortion to Star Wars to #GamerGate.

There are 20 women senators in the 114th Congress, 14 Democrats and six Republicans. McCaskill said that, as a member of this caucus, she wants more women to run for office, “but equally important is encouraging more men to sometimes just shut the hell up.”
“It’s not that women don’t value your thoughts, it’s just that we don’t value all of them,” she added. “The world doesn’t need your opinion on everything.”
Other topics that the senator said are now off-limits to men (aka 49 percent of her constituents, according to Census Bureau data) include “what women do with their bodies,” “who the next James Bond should be,” pantsuits, and brining the turkey.
“If you can control yourselves and hold back from further expressing your opinions on any of these topics, we’ll let you keep weighing in on marijuana legalization — but that’s a huge, big ‘if,'” McCaskill said.
