But there’s a “new McCain” on the rise in the form of a much anticipated and perpetually delayed announcement from Fred Thompson. While Fred’s “trophy wife” is the subject of some media scorn, he’s far better off than Louisiana Senator David Vitter, who has been caught in an act that he once thought was a serious enough sin to merit impeachment.
