Last week, the Trump Department of Justice launched a new round of charges levied against the notorious Democrat-aligned hate group Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), indicting one of its former capos on a slew of charges, including wire fraud conspiracy.
David Manny covered this for PJ Media a few days ago.
Via U.S. Department of Justice (emphasis added):
On August 11, 2026, a federal grand jury in Montgomery returned a second superseding indictment adding a defendant and additional charges in the case involving the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).
The second superseding indictment, which was unsealed today, charges Heidi L. Beirich, 59, of Palm Springs, California, along with the SPLC, with new charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to submit false statements to a federally insured bank. The new indictment also adds Beirich as a defendant to the previously charged count of conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering and charges the SPLC with an additional count of concealment money laundering. Beirich was served with an arrest warrant this morning in the Central District of California and is expected to make her initial appearance in federal court there this afternoon.
The charges arise from an alleged scheme involving the use of donated funds and financial accounts associated with fictitious entities…
The Southern Poverty Law Center was previously charged in an 11-count indictment returned in April 2026 with wire fraud, false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering. The second superseding indictment alleges that, between 2007 and 2023, more than $4 million in donated funds were secretly funneled to individuals associated with various violent extremist groups.
A great start.
However, that’s exactly what it is: a start.
One of the B-tier but nonetheless vital promises that propelled the Trump campaign to its 2024 victory was its pledge for mass prosecutions of the permanent Washington Deep State that had trampled on civil liberties for decades, culminating in, but not limited to, the January 6 fedsurrection.
The problem is not just one bad actor, and it’s not just the SPLC. The Swamp is replete with organizations just like the SPLC that, by and large, have continued operations into the second Trump administration, albeit perhaps a bit more quietly and strategically than the post-Floyd, post-January 6 Biden-era cultural revolution.
In her new role as executive vice president and chief strategy officer of the organization she co-founded, Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE), Beirich has taken her jihad against conservatives and, more specifically, white people in general who oppose globo-homo race communism, international.
Via Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE) (emphasis added):
Heidi Beirich, Ph.D., is an expert on the American and European far right, including white supremacist, anti-immigrant, antigovernment, and other extremist movements. In 2020, Beirich co-founded the Global Project Against Hate and Extremism (GPAHE) to monitor and counter increasingly transnational hate movements, particularly in areas of the world where capacity is limited to combat far-right movements that threaten human rights and democracy.
Beirich has testified in Congress on issues related to extremism in the military and among veterans and on the dangers of accelerationist and neo-Nazi movements. The House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol sought her testimony on the threat posed by the extremist Proud Boys and on the history of the rise of white supremacy in the U.S. Government agencies and tech companies have sought her advice on policies to combat hate speech, hate crimes, and domestic terrorism…
Her expertise has been sought out by government agencies both domestically and abroad, and cited in major investigations of the far right produced by governments, organizations and coalitions working to combat the rising tide of hate and extremism globally. Beirich has also served as an expert witness in civil cases lodged against extremist organizations including the white supremacist Proud Boys.

In other words, GPAHE is a transnational censorship and political persecution machine with deep ties to “government agencies both domestically and abroad” that, barring aggressive action from the administration, will continue to run roughshod over anyone branded right-wing, the prosecution of a former SPLC operative who currently runs it notwithstanding.
All of which is to say: even if Beirich were put away for life, it’d just be a drop in the bucket in terms of what needs to be done.
Pruning is not sufficient; the entire rotten tree needs uprooting.
