Kamala Harris offers banal dating advice, cackles horrifically
A totally, cross-her-heart, sober Kamala Harris — who, for the record, is childless and only got married at the ripe age of 49 ostensibly for political viability purposes — recently delivered, with one of her signature cackling fits sandwiched in the middle, dating advice to the young women who look to her for life guidance at their own peril.

There are different phases in your life... Maybe you're going to choose that you want to have that kind of Friday night relationship or you want that Sunday morning relationship. [cackles] Sometimes you can get both — and sometimes they just is oil and water. And that's okay! Be in those phases where you are having fun! But be honest with yourself about what you want, and don't be harsh in judging yourself.

She so clearly has lifted Obama’s folksy routine, where he sometimes dips, depending on the ethnicity of the audience he’s pandering to at any given time, into a weird Southern black preacher accent, even though he was born (allegedly) in Hawaii and grew up in Chicago. That appropriation of the black dialect to pander is cringe enough — but it’s even worse when Kamala does it because it’s so much more obviously performative and fake.
It’s times like these that I’m reminded that a) we, both as producers and consumers of media, dodged a real bullet in not having to listen to/report upon the musings of the Coconut Lady on a daily basis, and b), this woman is a horrendously untalented politician who would never have gotten within a hundred-mile radius of Washington if the elected leaders of this country actually represented the preferences and interests of the electorate as we are constantly reminded they theoretically do in this, Our Sacred Democracy™.

In response to the guy who posted her photo above, itself a response to her own post about dating standards, this lady threatened to sue him for a made-up legal infraction she called “defamation-adjacent image use.”

In the United States, publishing someone’s likeness without consent in a context that implies disparagement or harm falls under misappropriation of name/likeness, false light…
Unrealistic self-appraisal combined with unrealistic expectations in a partner and slay-queen entitlement to never have your beliefs challenged, even when you display them publicly on social media: the sweet fruits of modern feminism.
