Shades of Wuhan in the Hills of Barcelona

We all likely recall the fantastical theory the Public Health™ authorities promulgated at the outset of the COVID debacle that the pandemic was started when a pangolin committed coitus with an infected bat in a wet market — or something to that effect.

We know now that was a lie designed to cover up the obvious actual provenance, which was a dingy communist lab running illicit gain-of-function work funded by U.S. tax dollars, funneled through a shady “nonprofit” by one Anthony Fauci to his co-conspirator, Peter Daszak — a moral crime if not a literal crime for which the little demon has successfully eluded facing justice.

When a swine flu outbreak took the hills outside of Barcelona by storm earlier this month, a similar curious red herring about a truck driver feeding an infected sandwich to wild boars emerged.

Via Reuters, December 5 (emphasis added):

Genome sequencing by a Madrid lab showed the strain was “very similar” to one first detected in Georgia in 2007 and now widely used in research and vaccine development, the ministry said. Other cases in Europe belong to a different genetic group…

Until now, Catalan officials suspected the virus had spread after a wild boar ate contaminated food, possibly a sandwich brought from abroad by a truck driver.

"The report suggests that it is possible that the origin of the virus is not in animals or animal products from any of the countries where the infection is currently present," the ministry said.

We now learn that, actually, a state-funded lab in the immediate vicinity was running “vaccine development” work on that very swine flu before the outbreak — the government’s lack of awareness of which, when it originally tried to pin the blame on an errant sandwich, defies logic.

Via Reuters (emphasis added):

Spanish police searched a state-funded laboratory near Barcelona on Thursday as part of an investigation into the origin of the African swine fever outbreak in the same area, regional police said.

The court-ordered move follows concerns raised this month that the outbreak detected in wild boars could have been caused by a laboratory leak. Genome sequencing showed the strain is similar to that used in research and vaccine development and different from other cases in Europe.

One might be forgiven for theorizing the toll the reported outbreak and subsequent Public Health™ response has taken on the international pork industry (despite no positive samples found in farm pigs) is, if not an intended consequence, then certainly a welcome one for the purveyors of lab-produced “meat” like Bill Gates.

Continuing:

Spain is the European Union's largest pork producer, accounting for about a quarter of the bloc's output, and the outbreak has threatened exports, prompting authorities to impose movement restrictions and step up efforts to reassure trading partners.

Police said the search at the Centre for Research in Animal Health (Cresa) was ordered by a local investigating judge and forms part of preliminary proceedings that have been declared secret.

The centre did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Cresa has told the news verification website Maldita.es it had found no evidence of being the source of the outbreak.

The outbreak, Spain's first since 1994, has been detected only in wild animals in the Collserola hills outside Barcelona, with no cases reported on farms.
