Oh Really, O'Reilly???

To me, this is everything that’s wrong with conservative broadcasting. George Will writes a column attacking Bill O’Reilly’s book Killing Reagan. O’Reilly invites Will on his show, then treats him like garbage, including calling him “a hack.” I’m not the biggest George Will fan in the sense that I often don’t agree with him, but he’s a journalist of a very high level and no hack… and in any case, that’s no way to treat a guest and fellow conservative unless he’s a crook or jihadi or something.

This may make good TV but it’s bad manners. And, like courage and a sense of honor, good manners are a key conservative virtue. I thought this was badly done on O’Reilly’s part.
