Mr. Biden also told the crowd that if they get out the vote, “we can win North Carolina again.” Danville is close to the North Carolina border, but it is in fact in Virginia.

Whoopie Goldberg said the same thing about John McCain during the last election. When it comes to progressives, there is no claim too ridiculous or smear too foul. And its only the middle of August for chrissakes. What are they gonna say come October?!?
He really is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s not a matter of how bad he is at the stump, it’s now a matter of how many votes he drives away each time he opens his mouth.
I want to buy stock in Jim Beam, because there’s no way that Axlerod isn’t binge drinking to wash away the pain.

I typed half a dozen witty quips, before realizing the simple fact that this man is galactically stupid, is funnier in itself.
Not out of touch, not ignorant, just plain dumb. I mean, really. I overheard a five year old boy at Target ask his mom, while near the lingerie section, if “those are the things that hold your boobs”– and that kid had more tact and wit than Biden.
Everybody says smart things now and then, everybody says dumb things now and then. Most of us are judged by how we live our lives as the people around us look deeper than the occasional insight or flub.
But the media cannot deal with people, it can only deal with types. Everyone must be pigeonholed so that short-hand can thereafter be employed. So Palin is a dumb hick, while Biden is Joe Six-pack, the regular guy. And in the arguing over the unfairness of Biden’s free pass, even many on the right didn’t notice that the most jaw droppingly stupid things to get said on the campaign trail 2008 got said not by Joe or Sarah, but by Barack.
Obama may be the epitome of “credentialed but not educated,” but only Republicans are stupid. (Because, of course, Republican and conservative are defined as “that which is stupid and evil” while democrat and liberal are defined as “that which is good and intelligent and thoughtful and fair, if occasionally a little ineffectual.”
I do not think that word means what you think it means. For Joe Biden to “stay” classy, then at some point in his life he needs to have actually BEEN classy.
Don’t think such a point in time has ever actually existed.
The irony of “Institute for Advanced Learning” would be humorous were the stakes not so high.
