Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid could do themselves and the country a lot of good by brushing up on their Heinlein. Especially that Lazarus Long quip that “a motion to adjourn is always in order.”
Ahhh, Lazarus Long. One of my all-time favorite characters. The Notebooks of Lazarus Long is a must-read for anyone with even a modicum of independent thought. Libertarian principles couched in delightful wit and curmudgeonly sarcasm.
And for anyone into space opera, just drop yourself into Heinlein’s “Future History”. Time Enough for Love is a great place to start. That was my first intro to LL … 30 years ago. I haven’t looked back since.
