And Then There Were Two

John Edwards is dropping out.
I’m surprised. I thought he’d stick around and try to play kingmaker at the convention. Maybe his internal polls are telling him something the rest of us don’t know. Something like, “give it up, bub.”

Maybe he thinks if he stays in longer he’s bound to say something that will jeopardize a Cabinet position.
I’m thinking someone in Obama or Hillary’s camp ran the 2nd choice numbers and decided his bloc is more likely to beak towards them. All it would take after that is a phone-call and an offer of Attourney General or Veep and he kicks it.
Maybe his internal polls are telling him something the rest of us don’t know.
Maybe he’s finally decided to not ignore what his internal polls are telling him.
Kingmaker? Does the palace whore usually get to play that role?
I remember when he was being touted as the Southern JFK who would tear the heart right out of the GOP’s Solid South.
I soiled my armor, I was so scared.
