Before We Get Started
January 23rd, 2007 - 6:13 pm
Here’s what I looked like about three months ago. After less than eight weeks of triple-dose propylthiouracil (PTL), I’m doing lots better, thanks. Some small evidence:
Now let’s get back to the blogging already.
PS The cocktail I’m holding is, I think, my own invention. Make a standard vodka martini using Grey Goose and a hint of dry vermouth. Then add one small cornichon, patted dry. I call it a French Inhale.
Also, thanks everybody for all the warm greetings.

Lookin’ good, Stephen. Welcome back.
Welcome back, you’ve been missed.
You da’ man Stephen. Be well, and I’ll be tuning in tonight for the blow-by-blow commentary…
I have to say that I was thinking about you and your martinis tonight. But I didn’t check your website because of, well, you know… Then I went to instapundit and saw the news. Wow! Congratulations on your recovery. Good to see cocktail-enhanced live blogging has returned.
Welcome back, my friend. Lookin’ good and hope this is a sign of more to come.
A SOTU speech with a hint of Vodka…..what a breath of fresh aire! Welcome back ole sport!
Good heavens, you are just so *cute*
Suli
Fantastic. But, errr, that martini is just something I’m not too sure about. Maybe your docs need to tone down your meds a little.
I can’t tell you how great it is to check my newsfeeds and see Vodkapundit in bold letters once again.
Welcome back – we’ve missed you. Good health !!
You look great, Steverino! Congrats, and welcome back.
Welcome back, we missed you. A very good drunkblog tonite. I credit the cornichon…obviously you’re ‘nicely pickled’.
Steve, welcome back.
We’re plotting another RMBB on 2/16 – hope you can join the usual gang of troublemakers.
Andy
Well I dunno, that gaunt, pale photo, you look like the lead in some disturbing indie film that would win awards at a yuppie festival. Maybe you should move to Hollywood.
I was going to say that hyperthyroidism turned him into a hung-over Charlie Sheen. Yeesh! Again, glad to see you back in good health!
Cripes! I didn’t know hyperthyroidism could make your entire body disappear! How did you get around?
Glad to see you’re back.
Yay! Welcome back, and I hope your recovery continues on its current path, at an ever accelerating pace.
(Selfish part) I’m glad I can resume checking back here …. this was one of my favorite blogs!
All the best,
Bob.
Looking good Stephen!!
It is very good indeed to have you back posting and looking well.
I’m almost 24 hours late getting to your drunkenblog. Been checking your site every three or four days, and you came back during one of my sojurns elsewhere. Your site, along with Powerline and Instapundit are at the top of my blog list. I’ll check in more often now that I know you’re mending well.
Best to the bride and the heir to the Green millions.
Would you like another jug of that Crater Lake gin?
Atta boy, looking good and the drink is definetely a winner also.
Welcome back Mr. Green.
I knew nothing about blogs until, while searching for un-biased commentary and information, I found your blog via Boortz.
That was over five years ago.
Thank you.
Ahhh, that looks good. So do you.
Wow. You’re looking very healthy. Glad to see it.
