Hesiod writes:
Is the United States seriously pursuing the exile option, or are we only using it a psychological gambit to prevent Saddam from using his stores of chemical and biological weapons?
As I learned last year while Christmas shopping with my bride, the answer to most either/or questions is “yes,” Hesiod.

I don’t give this bucket-o-slime links anymore Stephen after his ridiculous attacks on Den Beste. Here he once again basically advertises his own ignorance.
Remember Steve, you’re one of those irrational, unreasonable ‘chickenbloggers.’
I’m not so sure we’d take the “exile” option.
I think it serves our interests to keep up appearances, though.
If for no other reason than to encourage the Arab countries in the region to pressure Saddam, or to show that Saddam is a guy who can’t be reasoned with.
>>or to show that Saddam is a guy who can’t be reasoned with.<
Where have you been the last 10 yrs?
>>>Where have you been the last 10 yrs?<
Is that comment directed at me? Or to the Arab leaders to whom I was referring?
Well, now, Noreiga is enjoying a comfortable exile, as I recall.
Oh, wait, no, he’s some biker’s bitch at shower time.
The comment is directed at YOU Hesiod. Where HAVE you been the last ten years?
>>Is that comment directed at me?<
Now why would you think something like that?
Pardon my ignorance, but what does “LFOIP” stand for?
LFOIP?
Can someone enlighten me?
Like Fish Out In Paris?
Last Fart Over Iggy Pop?
Laugh For Oil Is Paramount?
Hmmm…
Link Found On Insta-Pundit?
Thanks, dipnut. I chose last fart over Iggy Pop.
Why would we care if Saddam goes into exile instead of getting killed or being tried for war crimes? Gone is gone.
If we decide we need him dead sometime later because he continues to be a threat after exile, well, he can be killed in exile if necessary.
