Hillary Clinton “will make a better president than Barack Obama,” former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown says, but Mitt Romney would have made a better president than both of them put together.
“Let’s start with this: I think Hillary Clinton would have made, and will make, a better president than Barack Obama, absolutely,” he said in an interview with Boston Herald Radio on Friday. I think Mitt Romney would have made an incredibly better president than both of them combined. That being said, yes, I do like Hillary Clinton personally.”
Brown admits that Her Madameship is a flawed candidate, and that her attempts to portray herself as an everyday American are bunk.
Still, with Hillary largely getting a free pass from the press (despite their protestations to the contrary) the last thing the GOP needs right now is any Republican saying nice things about her. She’s got the MSM for that.
The Romney “what ifs” need to be purged from the Republican psyche as well. Yes, he would have been a better president than Obama, but so would my houseplants. And yes, he was right about almost everything that was a point of contention during the primary. However, Mitt Romney was also a very flawed presidential candidate, and Republicans who are flawed don’t get the kid-gloves treatment from the media. Romney isn’t president because he couldn’t be tougher than Candy Crowley for five minutes, so let’s stop with the warm fuzzies about what might have been and nominate someone with a spine next time.
