Under questioning from Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) today, Congressional Budget Director Douglas Elmendorf said straight out that Obamacare’s incentives scheme discourages work.

Elmendorf told Ryan: “By providing heavily subsidized health insurance to people with very low incomes and withdrawing those subsidies as income rises, the act creates a disincentive for people to work relative to what would have been the case in the absence of that act.”

Amazing that someone actually admitted that. With all these handouts available for those who chose not to work, why would one bother working? There are and will always be people who figure out how to legally maximize their benefits from the system and perform as little work as possible. Obamacare creates more incentives to be one of those people.

They're coming right out and saying, "It's tragic that someone has to work in order to get health care." If you don't have to work to get health care, to get food, to get housing or to get money to spend other ways, why should you one of the suckers who works?

A liberal friend who moved to Europe noted that some of his employees complained that some Frenchmen have realized that while you don't get to drink the best wine or live in the nicest house, you can get wine, food and housing by merely attempting and failing to find a job. It's not the most comfortable life, but, for them, it sure beats working. I was surprised this liberal friend not only noticed, but let me know.

Of course, Barry and Mooch want us to be more like Europe. Sadly, though, you can't buy French wine on public assistance in the US, but not everyone's palette is so well developed.

Carl Marx, and those who followed/follow him seek to over through G-d.

G-d said man must work for his bread. The current left leaning agenda in America, and part of the global agenda of socialism, wants man to be a slave to the State. An agenda that attacks all of G-d's commandments is an agenda that believes in G-d, but rejects G-d. That is known as Satanism.
