Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) says President Obama should spend part of his State of the Union Address tomorrow night apologizing for Obamacare.
It’ll never happen, but he’s not wrong to demand the apology. So far more Americans have lost their healthcare than gained new healthcare because of Obamacare. Of those who have reportedly gained healthcare, some have gone onto Medicaid rolls, which just increases entitlement spending. A majority of Americans opposed Obamacare when it was passed and oppose it now. Obamacare is a drag on current hiring and threatens the jobs and healthcare of many who have both now.
Instead of any apology, Obama will double down, use anecdotes, and propose even more federal spending in his “year of action.”
