Battleground Texas, the Obama-run group of out-of-state political operatives, is leading the Texas Democrats’ campaign to install Wendy Davis in the governor’s mansion. Battleground Texas is supposed to fill the role of political pros blazing a trail for the Texas Democrat campaigns, who have not won anything statewide in Texas in a very long time.

Emails like the one Battleground Texas sent out Thursday will not make their difficult task any easier.

Notice the text highlighted in red. There’s a problem with it. A big problem.

This is Greg Abbott.

Abbott, 55, has been wheelchair-bound since the age of 26. While that has never slowed Abbott down, it’s fair to say that it has prevented him from walking into a house in El Paso or anywhere else.

To quote Battleground Texas, “Great joke, right?”

Battleground Texas’ email highlights a couple of problems with the group. One, its non-Texas staff apparently does not know even basic facts about the state’s elected leaders. Two, in their their zeal to attack Texas’ leaders they have evidently become extremely insensitive.

The email, or rather the silence so far regarding the email, raises another question: Where are the Texas media on the story? Surely Christy Hoppe, the Texas Tribune and other political reporters and outlets covering the campaign are on the Battleground Texas email list and received the email above. It went out Thursday afternoon, so they have had time to write up pieces about it. But where are those stories?

Battleground Texas’ email flub isn’t the first mistake that the error-prone Democrats have committed supporting Davis’ campaign. On the day of her big announcement, Davis’ first official campaign email included a link that was intended to go to her own campaign web site. But instead, it pointed to a site created to expose her record.

Davis introduced herself to Texas voters in a video that included iconic Texas imagery of cattle ranchers. But that video just highlighted the fact that when Davis had the chance to protect cattle ranchers from thieves by increasing the penalties for livestock theft, Wendy Davis voted with the thieves.

I thought that picture was referring to the time Joe Biden asked the Missouri pol to stand up several times before realizing he was wheelchair bound. I didn't know Abbot was also so bound. Dems must be universally clueless about these things.

Only thin skinned people get upset about idiotic typos like this one and Abbott is not a grievance monger. They just make the writer look foolish. However, the later line regarding an Abbott supporters negative comment about Davis is the "wink and nudge" letting the reader know the writer was going for the cheap shot in his opening.

Keeping a list of them will be handy when Davis starts whining that she's being mistreated as a woman in a political race in Texas. One would think that being a protege of the old Richards cronies, someone would have told her if she wants to run for state wide office in Texas, to suck it up and grow a pair. And that advice would come equally from both sides of the fence - Richardson, Hutchinson, Coombs, Ryelander, and so on.

Greg Abbott has done quite a bit for Texas women by treating them as mature adults citizens who can be responsible for themselves, their families and their actions. And - I'm pretty sure he's made more appearances - not hosted by Planned Parenthood - in El Paso than Davis has.

As for Planned Parenthood - well, CDC says that there were 77,000 abortions performed in Texas in 2009 (back up by AGI - the research/data arm of PP). Al-Qaida would be envious to have those stats in a single state.

I've dealt with the states AG office many times and I had no idea that Abbott was wheelchair bound. I don't see that it matters. That said, the email was in bad taste even if it was a gaffe. Apologies from Battleground should be offered and the research staff should be fired.

Full disclosure: I support Greg Abbott for Governor.

We have plenty of the Sisters of Perpetual Grievance cult her in Texas, sadly.

However, I wasn't aware that he was in a wheelchair, either, when I criticized his sexist, blatantly pro-woman, anti male, disregard of the rule of law regarding child support and custody an access. I criticized him for being 'spineless' to the women's lobbies, and for criticizing the Federal Government on one hand, while accepting billions from the OCSE, and inserting the OAG, needlessly and fraudulently, into every divorce decree to maximize that payout.

Now I just refer to his lack of a 'Y' chromosome.

For a long time, I wasn't aware that Charles Krauthammer was paralyzed, either. For both men, I think they've been presented in a way that typically doesn't make it noticeable.

I'd be inclined to give Wendy Abort-o-rama a pass on it, but I know that neither she, nor her followers, would ever miss on an opportunity to play on a similar gaffe, regardless of how insignificant it was to the point. They're gold medalists in the victim olympics, and don't you forget it.

Wendy Davis will be the test on whether women voters in the south are as vulnerable to infantile gender grievance propaganda as women up north.

Don't worry, a plurality of Texans want abortion BANNED outright. Texas hasn't elected a democrat to statewide office in 20 years, a far left loon like Davis isn't going to break that streak!

All one needs to do is look at this month's issue of the FAR LEFT Texas Monthly Magazine. Greg Abbott is on the cover, in his chair, holding an over-under shotgun, with the headline "Texas' Next Guv"

The spin from the radical left is IF Davis ONLY loses by 20 points, it'
ll be a huge win for the democrats, and mean Texas will turn "blue" It's completely delusional.

70% of Texas WOMEN are strongly opposed to Wendy Davis!

The last time someone THIS radical ran for office in Texas was 1998. Rick Perry beat them by 49 points. Not WITH 419 points, but BY 49 points.
