Well, the O’Bagy gambit may have won the day after all. We have a “major escalation” of America’s involvement in Syria, according to the Washington Post.

The CIA has begun delivering weapons to rebels in Syria, ending months of delay in lethal aid that had been promised by the Obama administration, according to U.S. officials and Syrian figures. The shipments began streaming into the country over the past two weeks, along with separate deliveries by the State Department of vehicles and other gear — a flow of material that marks a major escalation of the U.S. role in Syria’s civil war.

The arms shipments, which are limited to light weapons and other munitions that can be tracked, began arriving in Syria at a moment of heightened tensions over threats by President Obama to order missile strikes to punish the regime of Bashar al-Assad for his alleged use of chemical weapons in a deadly attack near Damascus last month.

Weapons that can be tracked? In what universe? This is the administration that authored Fast and Furious, an operation the entire point of which was to track weapons — and that didn’t happen. The weapons ended up with the Mexican drug cartels.

The State Department is giving the rebels non-lethal aid too, including rations. At least they’ll be well-fed when they shout “Allahu Ackbar!” — which John McCain assures us is like “God bless you” after a sneeze — and behead Christians.

h/t Weasel Zippers, which noticed another escalation in Syria: Russia has deployed its “carrier killer” ship to the region.

"Fast and Furious, an operation the entire point of which was to track weapons..."

That was the what the Obama regime claimed, but it's obvious to anyone with any sense that was impossible.

The real object of Fast and Furious was to increase the numbers of American guns in Drug Cartel hands, thus justifying additional restrictions on American's Second Amendment rights.

Yeah, I know. It's just incredible that the mainstream media never bothers to make these obvious connections between continent-sized dots.
