The Sound of Silence

You know who hasn’t said boo in support of striking Syria yet? President Barack Obama’s personal political army, Organizing for Action, that’s who.

The last email from OfA that I can find in my inbox is dated August 30. It’s this swipe at private citizen Sarah Palin. She still lives in the left’s heads, rent-free.

Friend —

This is the last thing I wanted to talk about before Labor Day weekend, but you gotta hear this:

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin just joined the “Defund Obamacare” movement — a group of people, including 80 members of Congress, who are willing to sabotage the economy because they don’t like Obamacare.

This is the kind of reckless nonsense President Obama is up against in trying to pass a smart budget that actually grows the economy for the middle class.

OFA is here to fight back — because when it comes down to it, I doubt the American people are going to like hearing that people are threatening to shut down the government instead of passing a budget…

Yada yada yada.

OfA has time to pick at Palin. But no time to talk about striking Syria, the fierce urgency of delaying and speechifying and pinpricking, nothing. Silence. Cue the crickets.

Likewise, the front page of BarackObama.com (which is run by the allegedly nonpartisan OfA) has nothing about Syria today. It touts three issues, none of which involve bombing anyone.

Nothing says “I really mean it! Take me seriously on this!” like total silence about whatever it is you want to be taken seriously on.
