Asked about the possibility of impeaching President Obama, Ted Cruz did not rule it out.
In a question and answer session following a speech he gave at a Montgomery County GOP dinner last night, an audience member asked Cruz, “Why don’t we impeach him [Obama]?”
“It’s a good question,” Cruz responded, “and I’ll tell you the simplest answer: To successfully impeach a president you need the votes in the U.S. senate.”
He noted that the Democrats controlled the Senate currently.
Whether you are in the impeachment camp or not (I’m not), it’s the mere fact that Cruz says things like this at all that makes him awesome. He’s not there to be liked, he is there to make a difference and doesn’t care if anyone’s feelings get hurt along the way.
More, please.
