Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said that without getting to the bottom of what happened at the Benghazi consulate, the administration feels like it has to close embassies in the face of a threat “like a bunch of cowards.”

“This administration’s idea that you can go give a pretty speech and apologize really well and then everybody will love you, which it has not happened. We’ve lost credibility in Muslim nations under this president,” Gohmert said this morning on Fox.

“If you don’t get to the bottom of why our security was breached in Benghazi, just like we never got to the bottom of why the embassies were bombed under President Clinton, then you have to close your embassies like a bunch of cowards,” he said.

The congressman mentioned the possibility of gun-running as to why Ambassador Chris Stevens was out at the compound that day.

“We don’t know. And that’s why we need to get to the bottom of it. But there continues to be a cover-up about Benghazi. And it is important to know how our security was breached, how did we go so terribly wrong, how did we leave these people out there to die and not send help for 20 hours? Those are the things we need to get to the bottom of. And if we did, you don’t have to close your embassies like big cowards and go running off,” Gohmert continued.

“If we do our jobs in Congress, he’s going to have to change his policies and show a little strength instead of just nice speeches and running,” he added of President Obama.

Normally, when you evacuate and close your embassies, you're about to declare war against someone.

I wonder if Obama thinks that WWIII would distract everyone from all of his scandals?

Maybe, maybe not. The Obama administration screws up a lot, but just statistically it has to get some things right.

If all they know is that an attack is planned and don't know the details, then the best defense is to be beyond enemies' reach. I'm just worried that all the closures will do is delay the attack until they are reopened. I hope they have enough details to actually take down the would-be attackers before reopening.

Could it be that, after Ben Ghazi, the Obama regime is acutely sensitive to any threat to our foreign consulates, and that is why they are being shut down and evacuated?

If a consulate in the ME is attacked and more Americans killed, would it reignite questions about Ben Ghazi?

If a consulate is attacked and requires military assistance in it's defense, would that prompt more questions as to why no military assistance was sent to Ben Ghazi?

Is it possible that this overabundance of caution is really designed to protect Obama and Clinton from having to answer questions about Ben Ghazi?

and there are now reports that Benghazi stand down may have been made by someone not in the chain of command, because B.O. was too busy getting ready for a fund raiser to be concerned with the problem.

sort of like now, with embassies closing and threats high, B.O. was out on the golf course and is going on Leno.

Imagine, we may get more news from Leno than from the lame stream media.

Or better yet, B.O. appearing on Leno, can just be done under the framework of Jaywalking, and we can see what a joke B.O. is.

If Benghazigate came to the fore - all of it - not only wouldn't the embassies have to be closed, but On\bama Inc. would be in jail, that's for sure - http://adinakutnicki.com/2013/08/03/benghazigates-criminal-cover-up-hiding-witnesses-changing-identities-repeatedly-polygraphing-cia-survivors-commentary-by-adina-kutnicki/

In essence, when a super power retreats from the region, which is exactly the goal of the jihadists, what does this mean? It means that the super power is NO longer one, and is turning tail from jihadists. It is not a sign of prudence, but a clear sign of weakness. And, that's that.

Is Rep Louie talking tough for his Texans that put him in office? How about he just get the NSA to show the records of the event from start to finish.

OK, no records, no funding. There, I solved the problem for you politicians.

It has occurred to me over the past several weeks that the combination of illegal activity with the movement of weapons to Syria combined with the ineptitude of failing to anticipate what could possibly go wrong resulted in the end result known as Benghazi.

First, the administration had to enlist the help of "operatives" to find, acquire and then transfer the weapons. The whole process needing to appear as untouched by Barry "The Finger" Obama as possible. Consulting Chicago mobsters on how this is done was also occurring with Rahm "Itupyoura**" Immanuel as the prime consultant.

Meanwhile, as the operation was underway, some of those native Libyans were transmitting the info to other sources which took umbrage to the activity and mounted an attack to stop them.

The Obama machine had never imagined that locals would be so angered as to do anything about it because the locals are "just too stupid" to understand what's going on.

So the ineptitude of the administration is actually manifold.

They don't understand local attitudes, conventions or intelligence levels
They fail to anticipate any contingencies on things that could go wrong
They fail to put in place any counter to said failures or possibilities

Which results in:

Having to create a narrative in order to obfuscate the agenda and the activities of those involved. It also includes now gagging government employees and threatening them with federal crimes or worse and preventing them from blowing the whistle on the administration.

CONTROL

To me, it just really smacks of a poorly scripted rainy Saturday afternoon B movie with C actors. Not believable, not particularly interesting but since it's the federal government, desperately in need of investigating.

However, an investigation would only further reveal Obama's desire to see sharia law take hold throughout the ME and thus, help to solidify his seat as grand poohbah of the UN when he's done destroying the US.

After the miserable failures of this administration in Benghazi and Boston, they have to give the appearance of competency. To be more precise, do not forget about the Ft. Hood 'workplace violence'. Every conceivable red flag was in full view yet because of political correctness, 13 people were murdered and 30 people injured in a terrorist act.
