Two important developments this morning. First: Attorney General Eric Holder will announce that the Justice Department will initiate broad nationwide attacks on election integrity measures like Voter ID using the remaining portions of the Voting Rights Act. Last month, the Supreme Court struck down the 1965 triggers that forced 15 states to submit election law changes to Washington D.C. for federal approval.

Second: despite the Supreme Court’s ruling, the Justice Department announced it will try to recapture Texas under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act by showing the state continues to act with a racially discriminatory intent when passing voting laws.

Some of Holder’s reaction is because dozens of highly paid federal employees are now idled. James Buchanan won the Nobel Prize in economics by explaining Holder’s actions as public choice theory — bureaucrats announce policies to help bureaucrats, even if disguised as an act inspired by a public purpose.

For the last few weeks, Voting Section employees have taken extended coffee breaks, and even more extended lunches. But there was hope — outgoing Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez referred to the state of Louisiana as the “full employment for Voting Section lawyers state.”

That means Governor Bobby Jindal can expect more targeting by the DOJ Voting Section.

But this announcement is all about the midterm elections. Obama wants the House back, and the Justice Department is again being turned into a political weapon using the cloak of civil rights. This has become the new civil rights model. Because Democratic interests are so perfectly aligned with the civil rights establishment — in no small measure because of extreme bloc voting by American blacks — the DOJ is now an arm of the DNC.

Will states have the competence and ability to withstand Holder’s attack? There are ways. Whether they will use them remains to be seen.

Agreed. The only racial discrimination here is coming from Holder. Eric Holder is evil.

so tell me again why I need an Id to vist my congressman, because of security concerns, but i don't need an ID to vote.

And tell me again why the person was arrested and convicted of voter fraud, a black woman, long time poll worker who thought it perfectly fine to vote for others.

Holer (no typo) in this case is just like Obama's little dog. Yapping and getting underfoot while trying to bite the ankles of a big guy wearing roper's boots.
He knows Indiana was right because the SCOTUS said so. He knows Texas is right too. But he will keep on wasting the resources of the DOJ by muddying up the creekwith injunctions and the like passed on by liberal judges. All in hopes that he can kep Texas in the ranks of states where the little liar won due to the lack of a picture I.D. law. Hang in there, Texas ! And if that little varmint gets too far underfoot, stomp him !

If Obama and Holder had any manhood at all, they would be personally traveling to Texas to tell the Governor and state Attorney General of their intentions.

Texas is offering free state issued ID cards to anyone who says they can't afford one and needs one to vote. All that is required is proof of citizenship and since the state has access to birth and naturalization records, they can get that information for free.

Holder is just doing his job. Trying to get illegal aliens on the voter rolls so they will vote for more Marxism. Which means Democrat.

How else can the New Age agenda of changing American culture happen?

In Social Justice speak Level the Playing Field means Even the Score. So it's necessary to now suppress the White Vote and enhance the Black vote. Since there are finite numbers of White Voters and Black voters we must reduce the number of Whites going to the pols and increase the number of Blacks going to to polls. By whatever means necessary, meaning the Blacks get the opportunity to vote more often.
Holder and the Democrats have their eye on Battleground Texas. That recent insanity in Austin regarding Abortion Rights was more about Battleground Texas than about abortion. Abortion was merely the means to an end. As the Zimmerman case is just the tool being used to rally the Left. It's not about Zimmerman as much as it is about 2014.

Where would Demorats be without Voter Fraud?
Certainly not in the position of power they now enjoy.
We either hold them to the Constitution or we lose the Republic altogether.

Any attempt to enforce laws that have been struck down by the SCOTUS...is by definition outside the law.

Holder should be held accountable.
