Since it’s working so poorly at home

In an exclusive interview Thurdsay, Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD) told ThinkProgress that while not every state will be able to move as quickly as Maryland has to embrace progressive legislation, incremental steps are possible everywhere. To achieve that, he recommends progressives use both moral and economic arguments for inclusion and diversity.

In O’Malley’s seven years as governor of Maryland, he has signed bills into law enacting civil marriage equality, repealing the state’s death penalty, preventing gun violence, creating a state DREAM Act for undocumented youths, and progressively increasing revenue to invest in education and infrastructure.

ThinkProgress spoke with O’Malley after he spoke at the Center for American Progress Action Fund in support of its new report “States at Work: Progressive State Policies to Rebuild the Middle Class.”

O’Malley noted that it is important to make the economic case for inclusion:

Maryland is one of the states that gets an artificial employment buffer from federal jobs so progressives can enact their hippie utopian fantasies and think all is well.

My previous post discussed the economic potentials and voting tendencies of the fifty states. Progressive Wonderland Maryland ranks 35th.

So much for the “economic case”.

Progressive New Left Activist's Agenda since the 1970's:
Let's see: 1)deceased, 2)illegal aliens, 3)refugees, 4)65 and older illegal aliens, 5)inner city low income earners, 6)newly transplanted aliens, 7) newly minted american citizens,and-on-and-on-and-on. ALL ON government assistance programs. EBT cards are now legal tender for banned substances and liquor purchases, and-on-and-on-and-on.
Disability income is a wink-and-a-prayer. Residential assistance, SEC (8), is a gift that keeps on giving. WICS is another "slide-it-under-the-door" program. And those homeless meals? Some are good, most are sickening - a giraffe wouldn't eat.
There are more Unionized Government workers handling these "make-work" government assistance programs (public sector employment)than there are similiar jobs in the private sector(government nepotism is rampant).
Amerika CANNOT spend (other people's money)its way to prosperity!!!
Soviet Union tried it, crashed! Cuba tired it, crashed! Greece tried it, crashed! Spain tried it, crashed! Get the picture???American Capitalism is what made this country great, is the only way. Cheap energy+innovative manufacturing=American Excellence. Period. Pray. Amen. We The People want, our:1)religion, 2)education, 3) financial system (capitalism) and lastly governance, separation of powers (Constitution and "Rule of Law!").

As a long suffering Mary(Disney)land citizen who will likely loose her job in 2015 when our Gasoline Tax will be escalating again (it pauses for 2014 in hopes the sheeple will be fooled into thinking the confiscation has ended), thanks so much for helping to warn the US Citizenry! Our Governor is an unabashed advocate of the Administration’s policies and the Chicago Way (with which I am intimately familiar as an ex-Chicagoan). He has thwarted a “Right to Work” and added legislation requiring non-union state employees and teachers to contribute to Union coffers. We can add to the Governor’s list of “accomplishments,” the 32 tax and fee increases, his creation of a sanctuary state (with the Baltimore mayor’s sanctuary city), the horrendously expensive “Rain Tax,” and his overt and covert tax payer funded subsidization of a huge “bird killing” offshore wind farm (to the glee of his supporters/potential financiers). U.S. Voters BEWARE!

Let me tell you from sad experience that Maryland under OweMalley is a hellhole of prog (read: federal) entitlement, with genuine oppression of all other, non-entitled classes. It's like living in one big company town, and everyone owes his soul to the company store. People move to MD because their jobs require it. They escape to Virginia, West Virginia, even Pennsylvania - when they can. The country doesn't want what he is smoking.
