From the official White House statement on Margaret Thatcher’s death:

Here in America, many of us will never forget her standing shoulder to shoulder with President Reagan, reminding the world that we are not simply carried along by the currents of history—we can shape them with moral conviction, unyielding courage and iron will. Michelle and I send our thoughts to the Thatcher family and all the British people as we carry on the work to which she dedicated her life—free peoples standing together, determined to write our own destiny.

Because returning Churchill’s bust and giving the Queen an iPod of Teh Won’s speeches is exactly like Thatcher & Reagan.

Have you ever notice that the Liberals always compare themselves to Conservatives? They hijack Reagan. They hijack Thatcher. I want to see them own one of their own. For once I'd like to have The Affirmative Action Hire in the White House tell us he's carrying on Jimmy Carters work. Or Mao. They like Mao in this Administration.

Actually I agree with The Whine. Both he and Mrs. Thatcher are showing that socialism does not work. They're just going about it in totally different ways.

Frankly, 0bozo's statement is a baldfaced lie. But, that's what we have come to expect from "The One."

"Here in America, many of us will never forget her standing shoulder to shoulder with President Reagan,"

Especially those of us who chose our friends and heroes carefully....The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. And who, at night, in the dorms, discussed neocolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy. and who were resisting bourgeois society's stifling conventions, not being indifferent or careless or insecure. But rather, alienated."

Yes, Barry...we remember well. And every slander hurled at Reagan and Thatcher, every lie about their intellect, their righteousness, their heroism. Yes, Barry...we remember well.

"... reminding the world that we are not simply carried along by the currents of history—we can shape them with moral conviction, unyielding courage and iron will."

And not with moral relativism, unyielding treason and an iron curtain? When we will see this sea change?

"... I send our thoughts to ....all the British people as we carry on the work to which she dedicated her life—free peoples standing together, determined to write our own destiny."

And with what will we write that history? Upon which parchment? Certainly not the Constitution. Leftism is much more interested in carrying off the work of Reagan and Thatcher...than carrying it on.

Frank Marshall Davis, George Soros and Bill Ayers were chosen, Reagan and Thatcher were opposed. We will not be fooled...again.

Well, bless his heart. I just finished reading an article about a fine citizen who was fooled in the open-air market in Argentina; Yahoo! helpfully provided a guide to help people in discerning whether or not they have a REAL toy poodle. I'm just a ditzy housewife from Flyover Country so could someone give me a guide on how to tell the REAL Margaret Thatcher from a fluffy ferret on steroids?
