Another day, another slap right across the face from a repugnant little man with big ambitions.
President Obama, speaking to a very friendly Al Sharpton as part of a round with black broadcasters Thursday, offered a harsh assessment of the GOP — arguing that their opposition to taxing the wealthy was the only thing keeping an otherwise deeply divided party from falling apart.
Speaking about the looming sequester deadline, Obama said: “My sense is that their basic view is that nothing is important enough to raise taxes on wealthy individuals or corporations, and they would rather see [billions in sequester cuts to social programs]… That’s the thing that binds their party together at this point.”
I’m not even going to bother refuting him in detail. His words are proof that Barack Obama is a bigot and you can’t argue with bigots. They’re closed-minded and impervious to facts and reason. He’s an arrogant Daily Kossack with real power, uneducatable to any view that he does not already hold.
Tactically it’s stupid to insult people you’re negotiating with if you want to reach a deal, as Obama has done here, but it’s obvious that he doesn’t want a deal. He wants to fight and bicker and careen from one phony crisis to another while he and the media pretend that he’s above it all. He’ll ruin us and laugh about it the whole time.
Oh, and Marco Rubio drinks water!
