With his poll numbers flagging, it’s time for President Obama to head fake America that he cares about jobs, again.
Speaking at the House Democratic Issues Conference in Leesburg, Va., the president repeated a theme from his 2012 re-election campaign, that “our economy succeeds and our economy grows when everybody is getting a fair shot and everybody is getting a fair shake and everybody is playing by the same rules.”
“Because I believe that is a growth agenda — not just an equity agenda, not just a fairness agenda — that is a growth agenda,” he said.
“And that means that what you’ll hear from me next week, I’m going to be talking about making sure that we’re focused on job creation here in the United States of America,” Obama said.
Actually our businesses have a better chance to succeed when government is fair and predictable and its footprint is lighter. Under Obama, government has become unpredictable, burdensome, expensive, nosy and unfair.
Since most of these regulations are coming out of the executive branch, HHS and EPA mostly, he could fix it. But he won’t.

It will be a hold day in hell when Barack Obama awakes to the idea the most effective thing government could do to “create jobs” would be to shut up and stand aside, with the promise to revoke Obamacare and get rid of at least half of the unnecessary and wasteful regulation and compliance – now about an estimated 10% additional cost to our aggregate economy to the tune of $1.7 trillion a year.
There needs to be a dance pattern, with foot outlines—like the diagrams you used to see for the cha-cha—showing the moves for the new Obama Pivot Dance.
“to raise the revenue to actually do the job in a way that allows us to continue to grow”
Thank goodness, pivot to jobs! We are saved!
