I don’t know about you, but I’m convinced. The photo showing the president — or someone who looks like him — firing a gun at clay targets — we think — proving that he skeet shoots “all the time — not — has answered all questions about the matter and totally satisfied me.
“Attn skeet birthers. Make our day – let the photoshop conspiracies begin!,” former White House advisor David Plouffe tweeted in a message containing a link to a photo of Obama brandishing a shot gun and wearing ear muffs and sun glasses.
Gee David — why would we ever doubt the president’s veracity when it comes to his sporting prowess? Here’s our president showing off his form in throwing out the first pitch at “Cominskey Field”:

After bowling a childlike 37, why should we doubt that the president goes skeet shooting “all the time?”
No doubt a Special Olympics participant could shoot as well as the president — despite his cruel mockery of them. But that doesn’t matter because we now have proof positive that the president is truly a man of his word and if he says he skeet shoots all the time then by God we better believe him.
Because, like, he’s never lied about anything before, right?

Note that the shotgun is not pointed where he is looking. He’s at least 20-30 degrees misaligned. He’s either as bad at skeet as he is at throwing a baseball, or this is a scam.
Skeet must’ve gotten pretty close to the ground on this one… usually these are action shots (shooting up and AT something– you know, clay pidgeons up in the air) and usually the best ones taken at the time. Hmmm.

The photo was taken as a photo op and nothing else. If you look down along the top of the barrel like a person would do when aiming a shotgun you will notice his eye is below that level. The only thing he is doing is pulling the trigger, not aiming. Maybe it bruised his shoulder too.
His eye can’t be seen because of the shades. Plenty of reasons to be suspicious of this pic but that isn’t one of them.
Since he’s only got the bottom half of the buttplate on his shoulder, wouldn’t the recoil cause the barrel to rise right after firing?
Obama’s doing a number of things wrong. First, the buttplate is too high up on his shoulder. Chances are if he really fired the gun, he wound up with one hellofa sore bruise on his shoulder. Second, his right hand is too far up the barrel, which would make even holding the gun awkward since it would not be properly balanced.
But the biggest question is: how great was the photographer to be able to snap his camera shutter at just the exact moment that gun was fired?
