A Planned Parenthood clinic in southern Florida has given new meaning to the term “Black Friday” by offering $10 off a visit to the abortion center yesterday.
A Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in souther Florida is offering a black Friday discount — including $10 off a visit to the abortion center today.
Planned Parenthood of South Florida and the Treasure Coast offered the special, saying, “Visit our West Palm Beach or Kendall Health Center for special after Thanksgiving savings on Friday, November 23rd.”
Pro-life blogger Jill Stanek noticed the Black Friday discount and responded, “Planned Parenthood brings new meaning to the term, “Black Friday,” doesn’t it?”
This is the same abortion business where the chair of the national Democratic party headlined a small rally last year.
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz was named by pro-abortion President Barack Obama recently to take over as the head of the Democratic Party. At the time of her appointment to the position, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards praised Wasserman Schultz as a “heroine” for her extensive abortion advocacy. The appointment made it clear Obama would not run from his lengthy pro-abortion record.
Even if you are pro-choice, the inappropriateness and tastelessness of such a “discount” has to disturb you. And if anything, it should renew calls for defunding the organization. If PP wants to act like a commercial concern by taking part in Black Friday “sales,” it doesn’t need federal money to prop it up. It can survive on its own in the marketplace by retailing abortion and other health-related services just like any other business.

“When you care enough to abort the very best.”
Nothing says start the Christmas season off right, than discounts on abortions.
“Jesus wept.”
All Satanist get credit for an infant sacrifice, too… Planned Parenthood is “inclusive,” you know.
The problem with the ‘news’ story is that there is no such offer or sale on abortions. It is an offer for women who use contraception to get a 12 month supply and make payments. That way they do not have to worry about making monthly visits to the doctor, they can get their year’s supply and make payments. It is simply a payment arrangement for a product that 99% of women aged 15–44 who have ever had sexual intercourse have used at least one contraceptive method. So as a courtesy to your readers and fidelity to ethical citizen journalism, you should correct your entry accordingly.
From my review of the advertisement, there is a discount for the visit or a discount for emergency contraception. Since I do not know what a visit is defined as at that particular location,
I would assume that it could cover a wide variety of services. Dash H assumes that the only reason for the visit is to get a year’s worth of birth control. It could be that or a general counseling visit, a cancer screening or an invasive procedure such as an abortion. The offer of a discount for emergency contraception could be viewed as the “morning after pill”,which some view as the equivalent of an abortion. While the original article that is quoted takes one extreme view that abortions are being offered on a sale basis,it is just as misleading to say that the only reason for a visit is to get pills. I am not in that room to know what is going on,so I will respect the privacy of that woman. However, I concur that if the organization can get into this type of marketing to get clients, then it does not need federal funding for support.
Let’s get back to the Big Bird Question: Why are we borrowing money from the Chinese, hand over fist, to fund Planned Parenthood?
Non-profits have evolved. While Planned Parenthood may be a non-profit, there are employees who are reaping financial benefits. Let’s evolve how non-profits are treated in the tax-code. There’s a source of revenue.
Milwaukee is absolutely right about taxing non-profits. Let’s start with churches.
I wonder if it EVER occurs to anti-abortion radicals that when they run radical anti-abortion candidates, they keep losing.
Nah, probably not.
