For the love of… Just when it seems the election is trending the GOP’s way, here comes Donald Trump trying to “help” in his inimitable way. He is set to release a “bombshell” tomorrow that he says is “very big” and bad for Obama. But it may already be old news.
The billionaire told Fox & Friends that he had ‘something very, very big concerning the president of the United States’. ‘It’s going to be very big. I know one thing- you will cover it in a very big fashion’.
Trump declined to elaborate, but today an investor who appears on the same business talk show as him claimed to have more details.
Douglas Kass, a Florida-based investor who appears on CNBC’s talkshow ‘Squawkbox’ where Trump is often a commentator, tweeted to his 48,000 followers: ’High above the Alps my Gnome has heard that Donald Trump will announce that he has unearthed divorce papers between the Prez and his wife.’
When asked about the Tweet, Trump spokeswoman Holly Lorenzo told MailOnline: ‘All we know is that he is going to announce it on his Twitter and Facebook accounts tomorrow. I don’t know what time it will be, that’s all I know.’
Interviews with both Kass and Trump appeared on the show’s website this morning.
Kass is an author, the founder and President of Seabreeze Partners Management and has also appeared in newspapers including the Wall St Journal and the New York Times.
The claims about divorce papers have previously been made in a book released earlier this year by author Ed Klein. The White House rubbished the allegations then and claimed Klein had a history of making things up.
So the bombshell would be that Obama lied about something? Knock me over with a feather. He did that several times in the debates and it hasn’t been treated as any “bombshell.” He accused Mitt Romney of being a felon and a murderer without a shred of proof and the media shrugged. Unless those papers include something new and very explosive, they’re not going to be worth much, and using them just might end up generating sympathy for Obama.
For the good of the nation, Mr. Trump, please be careful. Late attacks sometimes rebound to benefit the person attacked. Lots of Americans, including Trump himself, have had marital problems. What Obama did to Jack Ryan cannot be done to Obama.
More: Now we have Gloria Allred pulling shenanigans from the left. This sort of thing is why we can’t have a nice country anymore.
I think Trump should wait until Gloria Allred makes her move then he can announce it right after her taking away some of the oxygen. Everyone will see it as last minute political theater from both sides.
I don’t understand why Allred is apparently after some Family Court records.
Gloria Allred is looking to get court documents related to a nasty divorce unsealed. Apparently, Romney had to testify. He must have known the husband in some capacity. My guess is Allred will trot out her client who will say that she was beaten up by her husband and Romney’s testimony in court prevented her husband from being locked up.
Nobody will care. Obama will get sympathy
Donald, go away, you lost. You are not helping. If you really want to help, just donate ad money.
The only way it might be a bombshell is if Michelle checked “he’s gay” in the “reason for dissolution” section of her divorce papers, and then, of course, Obama will lock up that gay vote he has been after…oh…wait.
Does anybody really think that Michelle and Barry really love each other? Give me a break. Barry loves only one person; Barry. The marriage is a sham, just like closet lesbian Hilary Clinton’s marriage to womanizer Bill Clinton.

Yawn. Old news. Prior to the 2008 campaign, there were many rumors coupled with statements from “friends of the family” alleging the Obamas were having significant problems, separated, blah blah blah.
The media deep-sixed it then, and they’re even more motivated now to provide protective cover.
There are many conservative gay sites (yes they exist) who speculate the divorce papers would point to either/both – Obama drug use (putting lie to his claims to have stopped using) or homosexual behavior as part of Rev Wright’s “down low” club.
How about Obama’s having claimed he was Kenyan or Indonesian when he transferred to Columbia U?
Maybe its something Romney appears to have said no to already.
Obama’s classmates from his college years saying, for instance, that not only did he do a lot of coke and grass, he was the campus dealer.
If that is true, its too late to use it. The time to do that was in 2007 when this f*wit first hit the radar screen, as part of a vetting process that should have been the work of an honest press corps. It does Romney no good, and the press is still a corpse.
Maybe the divorce papers reveal the Fraud is gay.
It would be disastrous since liberals who aren’t homosexual hates homosexuals; just like liberals who aren’t Jews hate Jews.
What ever “the Donald” has would have to something that Liberals or Left leaning undecideds really care about. It would also have to be provable and corroborated.
And it has to something that matters NOW.
This rules out past drug use,homosexuality,raised as a Muslim,infidelity,divorce papers and college records.

Evidence of embezzlement/misuse of campaign funds ala John Edwards
Evidence for the purchase of a home being “move in” ready by January 2013
