During this afternoon’s hearings on the Benghazi assault, Lt Col dropped two more significant statements regarding the security situation in Libya. Col Wood said that after the British pulled out their personnel and the Red Cross departed Libya, the US was the “last flag flying” in the country. That, said Lt Col Wood, made US personnel the “last targets” on the terrorists’ list to attack and to drive from the country.
During questioning regarding when the Obama administration knew that the attack was a terrorist assault and not a response to a YouTube clip, Ambassador Patrick Kennedy said that he was working from the same information which Ambassador Susan Rice was working from when she appeared on five political talk shows on Sept 16 to strongly argue that the sacking was not a terrorist attack, but resulted from a protest. Kennedy had, on Sept 12, told several members of Congress that he believed that the attack was terrorism because of the “nature” and “lethality” of the attack.
Lt Col Wood capped the discussion, saying that based on his prior experience that the sacking of the US consulate was “instantly recognizable” as a terrorist attack.
Congress should ask the administration why the man who made the anti-islam video was scapegoated by the Feds, and why he is still in jail.
I didn’t see the testimony. Was our flag the last one flying in Benghazi (Cyranaica) or was it the last one flying in Libya entirely?

Are we seeing the bureaucratic version of a mutiny? Hillary has no background in diplomacy other than her experiences as First Lady. Susan Rice is a political hack who had her gingers in several Clinton administration fiascoes. Ambassador Stevens was a career diplomat with multiple tours in Libya. He had asked for better security and had he requests denied because of political considerations. His subsequent murder has to be chilling for the families of every US government agency that sends employees to work abroad. Note that Ambassador Kennedy is also career State Department.
It will be interesting to find out where the big lie originated.

An alternative history of Obama as President on 9/11/01:
For weeks many in the administration insisted that the hijacked planes all just veered off course due to drunk pilots misreading navigation data, while they knew from multiple intel sources that this was fiction. Obama even gave a somber speech at the U.N. after the lies were exposed and cautioned:
“The future does not belong to rich capitalist airlines with pilots who recklessly fly through the air and cause death. The world does not need more 1%’ers flying around or Christian Empire-building wars powered by air travel to sacred Muslim lands. All we in the West need from China can be shipped by boat and in the U.S., my administration can monitor and provide the needs of all citizens right at home where they are safe. Mandatory GPS tracking in all new electric cars will provide an additional element of safety in cases where travel is approved. I encourage all United Nations members to learn from this drunk flying tragedy and implement similar change.”
