Romney Leads in New Hampshire, Swing State Daily Tracking Polls. Wait, What?!?

A new Rasmussen poll puts a hole in the media narrative that Mitt Romney’s chances of capturing the presidency are narrowing. According to Rasmussen, likely voters give Gov. Mitt Romney a 48-45 lead over President Obama. Polls of likely voters tend to be more accurate than polls of registered voters.

The poll was conducted on September 18, so it likely includes voters who are aware of attacks on the US across the Middle East over the past week as well as Romney’s secretly recorded “47 percent” video.

Rasmussen also reports that today’s swing state tracking poll puts Romney ahead of Obama, 47-46. The states included in that poll are North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. Obama won those states 53-46 in 2008.
