As the late Andrew Breitbart demonstrated so well with his untaken offer of one hundred thousand dollars for anyone with proof of Tea Party racism, racism on the right is a monumental canard. But what of the left?
Do Hillary and Obama treat Arabs in a racist manner by infantilizing them? If not, why these constant apologies for an inconsequential video of uncertain provenance when the result is endless murder, violence and mayhem? Why not a direct and grownup condemnation of murder, violence and mayhem?
The truth is this demonstrates how racist Hillary and Barack are in their attitudes toward Arabs. They show them no respect at all. If they did, they would treat them as they should (and unfortunately not always do) grownups in other cultures.
Wasn’t it Ayaan Hirsi Ali who reminded us that as long as you keep treating Muslims like children they will continue to behave like them?

So long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people, a silly people. Greedy, barbarous and cruel…
I wrote a blog article about this exact subject in April 2011. I make the point that Muslims are treated like mentally retarded people who aren’t responsible for their actions.

“Grownups” – I’m glad to see someone using that word in a piece about international diplomacy. I agree that our government doesn’t treat people from other countries and cultures as equals, as adults, as human beings capable of making their own decisions. We’re just as condescending as the old Victorian imperialists with their “white man’s burden.” Only difference is, we call it “foreign aid” or “development” or “nation building.” It all amounts to the same thing: the belief that we’re civilized and other people are not, so it’s our responsibility (and our natural right) to “raise them up to our level.”
And we find, to our dismay, that they’re not children after all. They’re grownups, and they’re pissed off at us for their own good reasons. We may not like their reasons. We may not understand their reasons. But we should allow them their reasons, and their anger, and their agenda. If they don’t want us around, we shouldn’t tell them “But we’re only trying to help, you primitive tribesmen, you.”
Do you like it when the UN decides to study America and issue statements about our race relations, our human rights record, our healthcare and infant mortality rates, our death penalty? No. So why should an Arab feel any different about the US studying his country and issuing statements about it? Or worse, setting up “programs” designed to change his country into something he doesn’t want?
Would it be so wrong, so dangerous to our interests, for us to simply let these people work out their own destinies for themselves? Like grownups?

Not at all, except that they are not interested in working out their OWN destinies. They want to decide OUR destiny.
If these countries want to work out their own destinies then let them take responsibility for their own actions. Instead they kill people for not liking their god.
Note how after 9/11, we were told not to take this out on all Muslims and not to believe the worst of all Muslims or of Islam because of the actions of ’19 hijackers’. When will we get the same consideration from THEM?
What is grownup about murdering a stranger because someone else said something you didn’t like?
This era of globalization makes it harder to simply withdraw. What of Japan and other countries that depend on OPEC? The US Navy protects the seas to ensure the free flow of goods.
If they don’t want to change their countries, that’s their right. But then they shouldn’t expect the US or anyone else to finance projects that we don’t approve of. That’s OUR right. We owe them nothing.
