A couple of the folks on this panel don’t seem to have the capability (not really, not in the end) of crediting, grasping, where Mitt really lives. How he thinks.
If they were brought up in the best the popular culture has, the best it is, then we are soooooo screwed.

A fair media would offer balanced coverage FOR THE WHOLE CAMPAIGN, not just on a one-program-only basis.

The truly shocking part of this story is that Romney, a Republican, got favorable coverage on a major outlet of the MSM. Or is this some OTHER CBS, rather than the one that used to employ Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite? Maybe the Cattlemens Breeding Service?
Or did the Columbia Broadcasting System figure to preclude conservative claims of media bias by having a single favorable story, so long as it was early in the campaign, maybe on a show with few viewers or at the same time as some more popular show would be sure to have most people watching another channel?

I think the author hit it on the head – there is an old-fashioned creed that you do good deeds without looking for praise and in order for them to mean something, you do not talk about them. Mitt frequently looks embarassed on stage at applause – that would seem to stem directly from do the deed for itself, not the limelight.
It amazes me that some in this comment board who dislike Mitt can actually sleep at night being on Obama’s side on anything. Every little thing about Mitt added together is nothing compared to just a couple of negatives about Obama. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Communist upbringing, radical friends throughout life, drugs in college, won’t release college papers and wants to weaken our national security for starters. Mitt while with Bain had a 78% success rate with companies and most were going to close just before they were bought anyway. In some cases he prolonged jobs for several years. If a company cannot make it, it has to be closed….everyone knows that and no one would close a company that is profitable…but why would someone keep one open that isn’t? We bailout GM and they outsource 70% of their work. G.E. outsources ten’s of thousands of jobs. No one talks about that because it is obama’s babies

My husband works at a company in Waukesha, Wi. They have an outsource lowlife there that makes $89,000 grand a monthand he is salaried. Talk about a bunch of crap hey. That much money a month to screw over the American worker.
I just want to point out that I have never seen a picture of Obama with a shovel in his hand, or for that matter, helping out anyone on a personal level. So for me, this is refreshing to see a man of this integrity helping out his fellow man in this particular way. I think that this is what will help Romney in the end; his character verses Obama’s character.

Color me cynical, but I think they’re hedging their bets for gaining access. This, from a media complex willing to turn a blind eye to Saddam Hussein’s atrocities in order to have “access” to him, does not make me feel all warm and tingly about CBS.

I totally agree Big Ben!! In my life, I’ve never seen such a nasty campaign. The Obama campaign, their cult like fans, their ads are just embarrassing. True, there’s a little from both sides but the liberals have just gone wild. If they would spend their time studying the issues, reading the policies of both parties, they might be able to debate intelligently without the name calling. For the most part on these posts, there is no debate or talk of issues. If you aren’t for Obama, they slam you with nasty words.
