This particular operation (which Signori Bruno Tinti – prosecutor and investigator in Turin, Italy has said was perfectly legitimate) refers to an obscure business transcation Bain Capital performed, with many legal players, in Italy in 1997 to 2003. Note: not one person in Italy’s government nor private sector said Mr. Romney or any of his associates acted or performed inappropriately.
It’s an operation involving intercontinental transfer of funds from Bain Capital’s Milan, Italy’s office (McKinsey & Co.), owned and managed by Mr. Gianfilippo Cuneo who has an Investment company of his own in Luxembourg, operating under the name of Investitori Associati SpA. Bain Capital’s headquarters were in Boston, MA from where all Bain’s operations emanated and were finalized.
So, in 1997 McKinsey & Co. purchased from the Italian government (who in 1996 was unsuccessfully auctioning off from their Treasury’s own state holding company “STET SpA”) SEAT Pagine Gialle SpA, a very large telephone directory company. Don’t release the tax returns Mitt. Just release the amount of taxes paid. I guarantee it’s 1000 times more than Harry, Barry, Nancy and Debbie have paid in their entire lives. Then ask “who is paying more in taxes Harry?”

The Democrat strategy is working. Every minute spent talking about Reid and pedophilia or tax returns or whatever is a minute NOT spent talking about the Obama-produced economic disaster.
Reid is not up for reelection and there’s no way he’ll be removed from his Senate office before his term expires. If the world has to hate him for a while, it’s a small price to pay if the little socialist can be reelected. By the time Reid comes up for reelection he will either have collected enough additional tens of millions in graft to retire in luxury, or he’ll have enough money to buy all the voting machines in NV and assure reelection.

My understanding is that Romney has already released 2009 and 2010 taxes. Also that he’ll be releasing 2011 taxes when they’re done. Clearly, he’s filed for an extension. So any discussion of Romney not releasing ten years of taxes is just bogus — creating one that isn’t real. It makes Romney look like he hasn’t released his taxes when he already has.
BTW: How many years of taxes did Barry release in 2008? My guess: The standard two years.

@wrangler5: No worries — no one is going to forget or overlook our economic/job woes, and I really do think everyone who is likely to vote has already made up their mind on who to blame for those issues. Looking at other matters will not mitigate the disaster that Obama and his administration have been on that front.
In other words, Americans as a whole vote on issues other than the economy…only when that economy is sound. This election is all about the economy, no matter what else gets thrown up against the wall.
