Now this is interesting. According a Rasmussen Poll released today, Romney would win 44%, Obama 39% and Ron Paul 13% in a three-way presidential race including Paul. Latest reports, however, are that Paul does not intend to go third party. Still, food for thought.
And more good news for Romney in today’s Rasmussen Report. The governor is up over the incumbent by 49-44 in the Daily Presidential Tracking Poll. Rasmussen polls likely voters.

Okay, simple-minded thought here: Does that mean that some of Paul supporters — in the two-man poll — have been choosing Obama over Romney?
Many of them, yes. They’re the Obama supporters who don’t understand why legalizing pot wasn’t the Democrats’ top priority on 09.
Political humor, right? RIGHT?
Even talk to a Paulian? They (many, anyway) really believed that the donks were libertarian.
Maybe we should start a “draft Ralph Nader” movement.
Ron Paul may prove to be very useful in helping large numbers of Democrats discover that they aren’t actually Democrats. Many of these people will eventually start voting R.
There is a point where the extreme left – anarchists, meet the extreme right – libertarianism. While they are worlds apart on social issues, they both agree on one very important issue: Government is FAR too big and far too powerful.
Since the Democrats are the Party of Big Government and Republicans, thanks to the Tea Party, are increasingly becoming the Party of Limited Government, its possible for the R’s to gain converts from the Left.
You can see the D’s response to this in their continual attempts to portray the R’s as the 1%. They are fighting to slow the trend of working class Americans abandoning the D’s for the R’s. The simple fact is: if you work and pay taxes, and are not in a public sector union, the D’s have NOTHING to offer you. Worse, in fact, they will tax your pay in ever increasing amounts for the sole purpose of redistributing your hard-earned money to people that work for the government and to people that don’t work at all.
Mr. A:
I think you got it bass ackwards. The link between Ronulans and OWS is not the size government — leftwing Anarchists are just the naive Marxists who believe that Dictatorship of the Proleteriat is a “temporary” stage leading to the idylic state of nature. They will be shot before the first banker is done away with. The convergence is all about lifestyles — drugs, sex and rcck and role so to speak.
Honestly, are we still doing this Ron Paul nonsense? I thought Sarah Palin gave the game away and everyone had caught on to the grift by now.
I will run as a 3rd party candidate before Ron Paul does. The only difference between our respective aspirations for the presidency is that I don’t get to raise millions of dollars every 4 years by pretending I’m almost about to run.
There’s a reason he’s still running as a Republican candidate when the Republican nomination is over. The cameras and the money haven’t been turned off yet. It literally has no connection to the election this year.
In fact, it might have no connection to politics. Since nobody actually believes the candidate talking about ending the Fed (the candidate included) would actually do this if elected, this might just be some sort of national gullibility test.
Maybe the Democrats could field a candidate who wants to end roads during a global transportation crisis and help everyone get the punchline a little quicker.
Either way, the collective amnesia everyone adopts every 4 years to re-read the same Ron Paul story is so boring. He’s literally going to have to die of old age for any different story about the election.
