Elizabeth Warren’s – Harvard’s own Pocahontas and Democratic senatorial candidate whose Native American heritage is yet to be authenticated – nose grew another inch today. From the Boston Herald:
Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, fending off questions about whether she used her Native American heritage to advance her career, said today she enrolled herself as a minority in law school directories for nearly a decade because she hoped to meet other people with tribal roots.
“I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group something that might happen with people who are like I am. Nothing like that ever happened, that was clearly not the use for it and so I stopped checking it off,” said Warren.
Talk about the higher education bubble – this is a Harvard Law professor promulgating this idiotic baloney.
Question: How much would you pay to be in one of her classes? (answer accepted in dollars or wampum)

It would be hard to imagine ANY institution that needs to be taken down several pegs more than Harvard Law. Anytime some pompous blowhard from the Harvard Law School is asked to opine on some issue you get the impression that they believe that the entire corpus of Western juriprudence (not to mention all human goodness and decency) resides within a tightly defined location in Cambridge. Massachusetts.
I would trade the island of Manhattan for one of her classes. Then I would trade the class for some pretty blue beads and a hatchet.
Coakley and now Warren? Is the Democratic Party bench that thin in Massachusetts? Or is it thin all around (John Edwards? Really?)
Their lies aren’t even believable or pass the giggle test anymore.
It has always been that thin.
There is a scene in the movie My Cousin Vinny where he’s showing one of the boys a playing card explaining how it’s a brick, right up until you look at it from the side. The MSM has always been careful to protray democrats from the front so you cannot see how thin they are.
Only now, with the advent of the new media, are we seeing regularly how thin the democrats are. And yet, as with Obama, the smokescreen the MSM puts up can sometimes outweigh the Alternate Media’s efforts to reveal the ‘thinness’ of the candidates.
– out of One, many…
Not only is this candidate horrible for the state Democrat party but the entire incident underscores for all to see the stupidity of the notion of hiring “minorities” to achieve “diversity”. I expect BTW that she offered up this B.S. because she thinks those of us not in her circle are so stupid we’d believe it.
Not only that those of us outside her circle are stupid, but even more so, that we would be too polite/intimidated to question any claims of victim class status – after all, to do so would be RACIST.
Ahh, the Salahi method of matriculation to Harvard.
I checked off the box that said I was an invitee, because I wanted to meet people who were worthy of my company.
Harvard sure has some unusual ways of accepting students. There is one who got in and did not have a single honor at Occidental or Columbia (how he got into Columbia without a single honor is still its own mystery) and it has been said that he not only did not have a single honor, the grades to barely even be reviewed, much less accepted, but that he had a social security card issued in a state in which he never in his life resided, a passport that allowed him to travel to countries restricted to American citizens, he became a head of the law review for which he never wrote a single article and had his tuition paid by people of questionable loyalties to America.
So, “Native” American Chief Cock and Bull and now the pasty white squaw Pochaholeinit Storyteller…are perfect candidates for the New Democratic Party, also known as the Pathological Liars Club.
Their nicknames are Dances With Words and Stands With a Fisk.
They put out their own news each and every day through various national and international outlets. The PLC has very strict rules for admission. You must be devoid of honor, integrity and you must be repelled by the truth.
I can’t wait until November, when I hope we wampum.
F-Troop on steroids
Maybe Warren has a few ancestors who sold overpriced concert tickets on the street? A couple of scalpers in the family tree might lend some credence to her claims.
I have been going around and around with some (Left) acquaintances on this topic. No matter how many times I lay out the very simple facts in the matter, they refuse to accept it.
By her own admission, Warren’s claim to Native American heritage was not confirmed until perhaps a week ago (by the NE Genealogical Society, or so I understand). Prior to that, it was all unsubstantiated “family stories.”
The directories and journals she was listed in (since 1988) as having this ethnic heritage all require the individual to explicitly state this for it to be included.
So regardless of whether she actually benefited or not, she willingly had herself listed as a “protected” ethnic minority, for which she had no substantive proof. That’s fraud, pure and simple; committed by a barred Juris Doctor, that’s very serious, both legally and ethically.
This woman is evasive and slippery as an eel. Her story has changed repeatedly. First she “didn’t know” (an out-and-out lie); then it was now somehow “OK,” as her heritage had been “confirmed” (decades after the original fraudulent act). And now it was to “network with others of the same heritage).
“Networking with others of the same heritage” = smoke and mirror signals.
The problem in MA is this: Democrat = Good, Republican = Bad.
Dizzy (while tap-dancing AND performing magic tricks):
“I wasn’t wrong to say I’m a Native American, and here’s why. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.”
or
“I was wrong.”
Wonder which is the correct response?
I would want to be paid to attend her class. I was capable of thinking on her level of envy and covetousness when I was a rebellious wild eyed youth, I have since grown up and become an adult. I would have no desire to think backwards. Could the adults in the room please stand up? I would pay for my children to be educated by them.
It’s not fair to assume by appearances only that someone is a ditzy buffoonette, but it is now substantiated by her behavior that Warren is indeed the over-regarded moron that her goofy look betrays in photos.
So was me own granny from Kansas. She had high cheek bones too, and I bet she was darker (redder?) than your gramps, Liz, even though she was purported to be German.
http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/warren-my-grandfather-had-high-cheekbones-all-indians-do_643103.html
My granny told me we were part Iroquois Indian. I believed her because I knew that some members of the Iroquois Confederacy had moved into Wisconsin where she was born in the late 1800′s. Later I researched the family tree and saw that her parents were first generation immigrants from Norway. But, never mind, I also have high cheekbones. Can I go to Harvard now?
I not only don’t see a problem, I’m planning on following her example. My family may appear to be Ashkenazic Jews from way back, but family lore has it that we are 1/248 part British royal family. My next trip to London I won’t have to pay for a place; Couzin Liz will put me up.
I really missed out on some great opportunities. I should have checked African or African American in college and grad school.
I look white but I am Jewish. The Jewish people crossed over from Egypt which is in Africa. They had been there for generations so all of them, including Moses, were Africans. Therefore all Jews are of African descent.
I think Warren just checked that box because it seemed hipster cool at the time. It is very foolish and insulting to actual native americans. A luncheon? Yes if you check this box you get a pass for tea and cookies in the teepee on the quad.
Warren carries all her female accoutrements in a Nez Purse.
Of the phrases I’ve seen, I like “Taxagawea” and “Dances with Socialists” best. “Fauxcahontas” is an honorable mention.
– a figure, it’d be Pocahooters.
And she loves scalped potatoes. Reminds her of her Apache heritage.
Maybe the Norwegians will award her a Nobel Savage prize?
I by no means am a fan of frivolous lawsuits – but I’d ante up to find at least one person who was up for a job that Warren got by claiming minority status. Considering her financially lucrative career path, it could be argued that she usurped someone elses opportunity for advancement.
A friend of mine was asking why all these Anglos who claim Indian heritage almost invariably claim to be Cherokee. He was wondering if the Cherokee were notoriously peripatetic libertines who got more action than any other tribe. I had to tell him that I attributed it to the popularity of the 1971 song by Paul Revere and the Raiders, “Indian Reservation.” with the memorable lyrics, ” Cherokee people, Cherokee tribe, So proud to live, So proud to die.”
Of course another contributing factor for the popularity of claiming Cherokee heritage is the ease of spelling Cherokee versus spelling the more difficult Algonquin, Potawatomie, Iroquois, Assiniboine or Winnebago tribes. I think we can all be grateful that Professor Warren did not claim membership in the Federally recognized Oklahoma tribe of Thlopthlocco Tribal Town, as that would have pretty much guaranteed a paucity of luncheon invitations.
I am inclined to think Professor Warren’s heritage is most likely a vestige of her childhood infatuation with Paul Revere and the Raiders.
No, actually the Cherokee were one of the so-called Five Civilized Tribes; high literacy in the early 19th century, very keen on things like agriculture, schooling in the Western tradition for all children, publishing newspapers, taking part in matters of political import – (Like the Civil War: the Cherokee split into Union and Confederate factions) and they also intermarried energetically and with willing participants on both sides. So, yeah – I can see that honestly, the good professor and a lot of other middle Americans can legitimately claim to have a portion of Cherokee ancestry.
What is skeevy on her part is appearing to have claimed such for professional advantage while apparently never having had to endure any particle of the widely-advertised disadvantages of belonging to a so-called racial minority group.
When Elizabeth Warren tried to sell a screenplay, she claimed she was the ‘Bride of Chuckie’.
I was driving through Oklahoma a few weeks ago and this great looking sports car, top down goes flying by. Great looking blond gal was driving. Her plate frame read, “Native American,Cherokee”. Couldn’t be the good Harvard Professor, she was hot.
So what does Ms. Warren teach — Legal Ethics?
That’s a joke, son
Warren teaches bankruptcy law. See her “interests” bio here:

You cannot make this stuff up! This fits perfectly with the current ideological state of her party.
Scott Brown has some sort of magical powers. He is able to make Female Democrat politicians implode.
Shame! This whole ad hominem lameness (wampum, Pocahontus-variations, etc) undercuts legitimate arguments against affirmative action as an erosion in a merit-based system. Easier to fall back on cringe-inducing stereotypes than form a serious argument. Nice.
My family are members of the Cherokee Nation because of my grandmother being listed on the Dawes Roles. It is the only way the Cherokee Nation will accept membership in the tribe. Her being a Cherokee because her great, great, great
grandmother put that she was Cherokee on a marriage license will not cut it. It is impossible for her to be 1/32. I use my grandmother and my blood is not anywhere close to that. She is a fraud.
