The friend who tipped me to this labeled it “Baghdad Barry.” Clearly a reference to the delusional Iraqi information minister who kept describing Iraqi victories over American troops that, um, never happened. Baghdad Bob in mind, watch this.
Let’s wrap our minds around what the lightworker is saying here. Never mind all the lies about how he’s laid enough pipeline to encircle the earth and so forth. He’s saying we too MUCH supply. Because we don’t have enough pipeline to move it. But prices keep going up. And he personally nixed 71% of the XL before rebadging it the “Cushing” pipeline and pretending that he supports it.
Didn’t Obama say, a few days ago, that supply and demand make no difference on the price? I guess he has suspended the laws of economics, again.

Trashing the dollar the last 3 years is a big part of why gas is so high.
I have a twenty-something relative who actually swallows Obeyme’s argument. His take on it is that the (eeevil) oil companies arbitrarily control oil prices. He simply believes whatever Obama says.
Can he really think that all of a sudden we drill more than enough oil right here in the US and therefore export some of it? Um, and when did we stop importing it? The way these “true followers” can turn on a dime beggars belief.
That’s not limited to twenty-somethings by any means.
Anyways, I have heard the “too much oil” meme in a different context. Essentially, it says that XL is not needed because that oil will just be exported anyways and, therefore, not affect prices in the US. They totally ignore the benefits of keeping the “crack spread” at US refineries, reducing the costs and energy loss of shipping the crude via pipe instead of railcar and receiving export income from sale of finished products. Plus, if a national security situation emerges it is a simple matter to redirect exportable product to domestic use. Redirecting blocked foreign sources are a bit more difficult.
The economic illiteracy out there from supposedly intelligent people is beyond belief!

Barry needs to get the hell out of fly-over America, and get back to DC, where he can worry about the contraception problems of Georgetown Law students.
Every energy speech he makes just shows how much he does not know about how middle America really lives and works. He’s also been heckled constantly, and protestors line up along his motorcade routes.
He needs to stick to making speeches to his fans in DC, New York, and San Fran.
