In case you missed it.
In three short years, an unprecedented explosion of spending, with borrowed money, has added trillions to an already unaffordable national debt. And yet the president has put us on a course to make it radically worse in the years ahead.
The federal government now spends one of every four dollars in the entire economy. It borrows one of every three dollars it spends. No nation, no entity, large or small, public or private, can thrive, or survive intact, with debts as huge as ours.
The president’s grand experiment in trickle-down government has held back rather than sped economic recovery. He seems to sincerely believe we can build a middle class out of government jobs paid for with borrowed dollars. In fact, it works the other way: A government as big and bossy as this one is maintained on the backs of the middle class and those who hope to join it.

Out here in Indiana, when a businessperson asks me what he can do for our state, I say, “First, make money. Be successful. If you make a profit, you’ll have something left to hire someone else, and some to donate to the good causes we love.”
The extremism that stifles the development of homegrown energy, or cancels a perfectly safe pipeline that would employ tens of thousands, or jacks up consumer utility bills for no improvement in either human health or world temperature, is a pro-poverty policy. It must be replaced by a passionate pro-growth approach that breaks all ties and calls all close ones in favor of private-sector jobs that restore opportunity for all and generate the public revenues to pay our bills.
That means a dramatically simpler tax system of fewer loopholes and lower rates, a pause in the mindless piling on of expensive new regulations that devour dollars that otherwise could be used to hire somebody. It means maximizing on the new domestic energy technologies that are the best break our economy has gotten in years.

Holy SMOKES, Why is this man not leading the country???
his wife told him not to.
so that’s who’s leading whom around here.
And why are the people who ARE running for President not saying these things?
They are.
If Mitch’s wife would let him run, he would also have to get sucked into the battle for the nomination, and therefore not be able to concentrate fully on describing the mistakes of the marxists and their alternatives.
Newt, in particular was running a campaign focussed on obama until McMitt decided to take him out with negative attacks. So he has had to fight back or leave the field. So we are where we are.
I only watched a few minutes. You could go with this guy. He’s going to make mistakes in the opening rounds (needs to get rid of the blinky eye effect when empahsizing a point) , but as always the attacks can be circle-sixed and turned back around on the attacker if you knew what you were about. Never having seen any other video of him, I’m going to assume that he might be stiff, because he grew up as a businessman and I presume is well aware of the rocks and shoals that await a Republican from the MSM. That is going to have to be overcome–letting go and being the executive you were before should help. It’s not about management anymore, it’s about leadership and inspirement. It’s also about command. Let the MSM do their worst. You have a government to run. Act like it (which is the secret to Christie. He always knows that he’s the governor, not the media. They couldn’t do what he does, he knows it, and lets them know it in his own way. It’s all about having the self-confidence that you deserve the job, and that the MSM never bothered to put their money where their mouths were.)
The OMB time will be an issue–it could be turned into an opportunity if one knew what one was about.
The legislative walkout thing was a disgrace. Any trimming on the issue and he would functionally die a quick death in the hearts of many, so he’s going to have to figure out how to square that circle.
Have fun storming the castle, boys.
There is a tactical reason why Mitch Daniels was asked to rebut the little one…If he was going to get into the race…he would have done it already. The guy is shrewd and seasoned…He was a cabinet member for Ronald Reagan. If Mitt Romney were smart…he would already be asking this guy to be his #2…Mitch Daniels is a proactive conservative…he moves the ball down the field. He’s exactly what Romney would need to balance the ticket…and would destroy that baffoon of a VP in any debate, anywhere.
I also think he would serve, if asked by Romney…
