Ezra Lavant of The Source took 12 minutes to destroy, and I mean destroy, every bit of reasoning President Obama used for passing on the Keystone XL pipeline.
As Doug Brady at Conservatives for Palin notes, “Be sure to watch the whole thing and pay particular attention to the map of the alleged ‘pristine, environmentally sensitive area’ through which the pipleline will pass.”
That’s an eye opener.

He’s dreamy, isn’t he?
So the US is going to ship oil by tanker halfway around the globe from Russia or the Middle East instead of moving Canadian crude a few thousand miles by pipeline?
What “reasoning”? We all should know by now that Obama is a crock of crap. He draws his curve (figures out what will benefit him politically) and then makes up some BS to justify it. Anybody who believes this crumb is sitting down and thinking carefully about decisions for the good of the country or something just hasn’t been paying attention or else is still OD’d on Kool Aid.
Instead of Venezuela, Obama is probably protecting
Soros oil investment in Brazil. This includes the
millions of our tax dollars BO gave to Brazil
for off shore drilling.
Obama promised to “direct the private sector”. WTF?
– find Canada on a map.
Obama did promise to “destroy his enemys” which include the republican states that would have benefited from the Keystone XL pipeline.
That and the campain contributors/puppet masters/powers behind the throne have invested heavily in Brazilian Oil and demand thier pound of flesh.
The United States of Argentina – 4 more years should do it.
Actually, this guy is wrong. Obama didn’t lie.
If Obama can put enough people on the unemployment line, then there will be far less need for Oil from the Middle East and Venesuela, and at the pace he’s going he could have enough people not needing to drive to work to actually eliminate the Imports from those countries.
Need that guy in Alaska! I’d happily turn every Escalade in Mexifornia into a lawn ornament and sell Alaska oil on the open World market.
the alien one daily gives reason to believe, even by the most dense, that he hates our country and is accelerating to control us before he loses it all. believe the polls at your own peril. it ain’t even close. he can’t win any honest contest; and, he knows it.
all this minion mauling, manipulation, misery, and mayhem developing, and it is only january of 2 0 1 2. gosh, wonder what he’ll give/take away in february?
and then there is issa nipping at his heels. a.g. takes the 5th? doesn’t that really mean high crimes have been committed? no reason to do that if high crimes do not lurk between the lies. i have a feelig this whole sorry episode is not going to end well.
FYI, Ezra Levant is a man of many honors. He was the publisher of Western Standard magazine, which published the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons in Canada, resulting in his being taken before the Alberta Human Rights Commission. He also wrote a column for Sun Media which resulted in a threat of a libel suit from George Soros.
That is a devastating segment. His reasoning is flawless.
NATIONAL INSANITY: From Robert Samuelson, contributing editor at The Washington Post: “President Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico is an act of national insanity. It isn’t often that a president makes a decision that has no redeeming virtues and — beyond the symbolism — won’t even advance the goals of the groups that demanded it. All it tells us is that Obama is so obsessed with his re-election that, through some sort of political calculus, he believes that placating his environmental supporters will improve his chances.”
Even worse national insanity will be if the voters reelect this anti-American socialist clown.
I suspect that King Putt lost the election with this decision. (Or should that be “I hope & pray” instead of “I suspect?”)
Sorry, Canada, for the massive mistake that is Barack Obama. I, for one, can’t wait to get rid of this embarrassment of a president.
Very good summary of the Keystone fiasco. I’m not sure about the wisdom of betting everything on shipping oil to China. Wouldn’t it be possible to refine the oil in Canada and send it to the US via existing pipelines. Then the US could have the oil and the refinery jobs that they don’t want could go to Canadians.
Folks above the 49th have to do what is ultimately best for them. If certain powerful forces down here think it is in their best interest to stick you in the eye, fantasizing that they are G-d’s gift to mankind, you should waste no time in sticking back. Meanwhile, if China, Japan, etc. want your oil more than we do that is not your problem.
It should be pointed out , however, that many of those Hollyweird airheads fighting either pipe project originate from your side of the frontier. Darryl Hannah and Dan Ackroyd come to mind. So, be careful when blaming us for your own soiled laundry.
Darryl Hannah?? She’s not Canadian: born in Chicago.
– Canadian build that pipeline to somewhere with money, I will make money too.
Ezra, Since I first saw you take on the Human Rights Commission, I’ve been a fan. Now,you take on our President Obama, the Marxist anti-American-and you do it so well. Americans must never again elect someone who hates us and our values.
I appreciate your work and you more than I can say.
Somehow I find it disingenuous that a man with a name like Ezra Lavant, can be thought of as a Canadian.
While he makes some good points, such an ethnic name has more affinity to all of the ‘International Bankers’ that took the US for a ride in the ‘banker bailout’ early in the Obamanation’s reign, rather than a typical Canadian, eh?
Could this be merely stirring the pot from a group that ALWAYS votes cohesively, from aggrieved interests both in the USA, and Canuckstan, over Obama’s one laudable political stance- that of basically not pandering to Occupied Palestine?
Nah, that would be ‘racist’ – and everyone knows, ‘those people’ are not racist….. just as Gilad Aztmon.
