Video: Newt Gingrich Slams ‘Saul Alinsky Radical’ President Obama
At an employees-only town hall meeting at PSNH in Manchester, NH today, Newt Gingrich opened up a strong salvo on President Obama. Gingrich dubbed the president a “Saul Alinsky radical” and called him “the most radical president in American history.” Gingrich also lauded New Hampshire’s history of firsts: Not only the first primary, but the first state to which British arms surrendered during the Revolutionary War, and the first state to draft its own constitution.
Later in the wide-ranging speech, which included Gingrich’s views on the FDA (it needs reform), the EPA (it needs to be given a new mission to keep it from harming the economy) and energy (our dependence on Middle Eastern oil empowers Iran), Gingrich also rolled out his line that Mitt Romney is a “Massachusetts moderate” who will not take the Republican Party or the nation in the right direction. Gingrich questioned how the GOP could run against Obama, a tax raiser who brought us ObamaCare, with a nominee who raised taxes and brought his state the forerunner to ObamaCare.
Behind in the polls to Romney in New Hampshire, Gingrich seems to be using the opportunity to speak to audiences here not to gain ground in this state, but to lay the groundwork for his campaign to capture the next state. He noted that as governor, Romney raised taxes on gun ownership on Massachusetts, and further noted that such a thing would be very unpopular in South Carolina.
Gingrich’s event was well attended, with about 100 to 150 PSNH employees and roughly as many press on hand. Also in the crowd: Harold Ford, the former Democratic representative from Tennessee.
I stepped outside to take a radio call, only to find MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski outside. That’s Joe walking towards me and heading into the event, and Mika posing in front of Gingrich’s campaign bus.

I almost forgot about this little nugget of news I had heard about. Homeland Security Training Exercise Startles Locals at Social Security office Sunday, 08 January 2012 08:59 http://www.dailycommercial.com/News/LakeCounty/01…
We need people like Newt taking the war to Obama. Romney just doesn’t do it as well. I’m not sure, but maybe Newt could pull out a surprise in New Hampshire? If he did, it would destroy Romney. But I doubt it. Romney will probably win.
I doubt Newt can take romney out in NH, but I wouldn’t count him out in SC, and in my state of Fla. In fact, I would say that the turnaround state for Gingrich will be Florida. I know that he’s assembled a powerhouse team here in this state, and that I have already sent in my absentee ballot for Newt Gingrich; the only candidate that can TRULY take it to obama, and at the same time reset the course of American history.
If you really think the American People give a rat’s ass who Saul Alinsky is, then you are as deluded as Newt.
You should care who Saul Alinsky is because our president, the former community organizer (agitator) is using the Rules for Radicals handbook as his blueprint to run the country. That’s the “change” and “transformation” he’s talking about. Is that what you want.
This is why I like Newt, he’ll say it.
Saul Alinsky was a communist. Communist have murdered more than 200 million of their own citizens and make the Nazi look benign in comparison. If Obama was an adherent of Alinsky he was a little more than a radical and that is what makes Obama extremely dangerous to our Republic. Below is what a communist is capable of, Nazi’s are pikers compared to them.

Alinsky’s son was bragging about ,how Obama being a quick learner. Obama was taking classes at old Alinsky’s school Old Saul Alinsky waned sweet Hillary to teach for him but she said that she had bigger fish to fry now we know what her fish was, but she had to settle for a small minnow thanks to our communist Obama
Comrade Obama didn’t need to learn his communism from Alinsky; he was a Red Diaper Baby whelped by communists, raised by communists, mentored by communists, admitted to colleges by communists, his education paid for by communists – that’s why we aren’t allowed to know anything about his schooling, given his legend as a “professor” and community organizer in Chicago by communists, and installed in the Presidency by some shadowy cabal fronted by Soros. He uses a lot of Alinskyite tactics and vocabulary, but so do all of the other union goons, community organizers, and leftist apparachiks in the Country.
but but but, Mr Romney is telling us that obama is just a well-meaning guy from the neighborhood who got in a bit over his head and has failed here and there. Like with Romneycare, oops, Obamacare.
And poor Newt is acting like obama is dangerous or something.
Newt isn’t going to be doing much business with the gubamint after 2012 if he gets the nomination and keeps saying that kind of stuff.
Mitt won’t make that mistake. His buddies are smarter than that. They certainly don’t intend to be the guys out of work when obama wins.
This is Newt at his best. Focused, laser sharp, factually loaded for bear…devastatingly clear and concise.
I LOVE “Good Newt”. When he is hitting on all cylinders, he doesn’t NEED to attack anyone on our side…he excoriates the leftists with the maestro’s touch.
And…it is THIS…that would get him back in the game.
Much like Rick Perry, however…I simply do not like his game plan. AND…”Bad Newt” gets in the way too often. But…I would take a thousand clips like this.
In fact, with CK’s Daily Caller clips and this clip…I had a very uplifting day. They “get it”. I love that, it inspires me and warms my heart…if only for a moment.
Now…they ALL should be talking like this.
And…so should we.
Memorize CK’s words and Newt’s and start carrying them everywhere we go. I’ve been saying many of these things here for quite a while…it’s nice to see it though…coming from the top down.
I am fully in agreement. I was critical of Newt earlier, figuring he was carrying too much baggage and and looks too much like a cartoon of a fat-cat politician. But he’s the only one that is in the attack mode and going in-the-face with Obama’s undisguised commitment to socialism, Stalin/Mao style. With Bachman out, Newt has a chance of attracting and holding the T Party vote and also swinging the independents and doubters. Romney shows every sign of going the McCain route, using their ouerile “quick response” approach, and avoiding, at all cost, offending Democrats by pointing out that they have become converts to Socialism with a capital “C”, offering them Obama Lite.
Gingrich, for all of his shortcomings, has a record of past performance in office – he is not just hollow rhetoric. No other candidate has done is homework as thoroughly. And he is giving voice to Americans’ deep concerns about where this administration is forcing us. If we can’t have a Robert the Bruce, we can settle for Newt the Blunt instead of Mitt the Inoffensive.
stuart, stuart, stuart
Don’t you know that Mitt is inevitable? Haven’t you been reading the conservative msm? Newt is an angry man and a whiner because people who Mitt has absolutely no control over are calling New crazy, unethical, unstable and more liberal than Mitt, the man who birthed Romneycare. Newt just can’t handle a few million dollars in backhanded TV lies and insults, which is evidence that he ISN’T electable.
Newt also has all those negatives, unlike Mitt, whose career at Bain Capitla and his Moromonism have hardly been mentioned by anybody during the campaign. This is evidence that Mitt is electable, since if they aren’t brought up in the primaries, surely they won’t be brought up in the general election. And the fact that Newt balanced the federal budget, restored Republicans to power, cut the capital gains tax and reformed welfare…well that stuff will just turn independents off. Mitt’s record of being on every side of every issue will be much more appealing to people who don’t know where they stand themselves.
And besides, Newt’s conservative accomplishments are more than matched by Romneycare, tax hikes and Mitt’s decision not to lose by 20% in a reelection campaign for governor.
All of these factors make Mitt the ideal republican candidate for president. As soon as he can destroy enough of his opponents with lies and innuendos, Mitt’s polls results will climb above 25%. The only reason they have been that low is because there have been other candidates in the the race, a problem that will soon be corrected.
Like it or not, this country needs a hardliner like Newt to unscrew what this inept administration has unleashed on this country so far
I’m sure I’ll get the hate zingers my way for that-bring it…
You won’t hear it from this quadrant. Albeit Newt’s big alligator mouth overtakes his canary ass at times, I think he’d do a good job as POTUS. But he made some enemies back in the 90′s as Speaker. I’d be very surprised if he can survive the gauntlet (coming from both sides of the aisle) & make it to the other side intact as our nominee. Shame, really. But there can be no doubt though that one’s big mouth can utterly destroy one’s career in a big way.
I wouldn’t worry about Newt’s establishment enemies. The only crowd who can take him down are the lemming-like voters that listen to the “old” establishment.
Unfortunately, this administration is anything but inept; Comrade Obama is doing a very good job of “fundamentally transforming” America, the job he was installed to do.
I don’t know about Saul, but I just discovered that Obama and Romney are Harvard Law grads. Seems to me you can take the boys out of Harvard and make them president, but you can’t take Harvard out of the boys. Maybe that better explains the affinity between Obamacare and Romneycare, surely it can’t just be differences in germs, guns, steel, and geography?
Some good news for Newt.
The ruling class long ago declared that Newt’s windfall is a negative. Your common sense reaction to his $5M godsend was discredited before it was minutes old. The spin is that he can hardly take the money from an evil business guy when he has already challenged Romney as an evil business guy. (no it doesn’t need to make sense, it only needs to sound good enough to persuade the easily persuadable)
It isn’t about who you think the best candidate is, it’s about who they have already decided the best candidate will be.
You are going to have to stop all of that thinking that you seem to like to do.
I want a candidate who has ‘fire in the belly’; one who knows how to call a spade a spade. I’ve spent most of my life frustrated by milquetoast Republicans more focused on collegiality and politeness than in fighting for their beliefs and principles. At the same time I’ve seen the Democrat Party morph from an honorable opposition, with the likes of Henry Jackson, Hubert Humphrey, Sam Nunn and many others into a cutthroat, take no prisoners, thuggish party of bad faith willing to commit treason as long as it gives them a political advantage. I think America is hungering for a leader who speaks plainly and calls it like it is, media disapproval be damned. As a matter of fact make the media and its bias part of the strategy – they’re dying and maybe just need a good determined shove over the edge. Newt’s occasional forays into this style are refreshing but I think his baggage is insurmountable. I want someone who has fight in him and I think the base would rally to that. The country faces an existential threat unlike any it has ever faced and we need a leader who understands and articulates that threat to the patriots out there who still give a damn about what this country stands for. Articulate it, energize the base and then let the fates decide whether Franklin was right in his challenge as to what type of government we were given.
I’m a Republican in Georgia and Sam Nunn was my kind of politician! I yearn to one day vote without holding my nose!!
Progressives are a Disease, 2012 continues the Cure!
too many people have been taught all the wrong stuff on how free market works and that is what made us great. This election will hinge on the candidate being able to teach the voters and it will be a up hill climb because of the press. God help us all if Obama stays in office, unless you get a big enough majority in both Houses of Congress.
The Saul Alinsky stuff just doesn’t resonate with the American People. I know it’s a big talking point with certain people pretending to be conservative, but it’s just a bunch of blather fo the average guy out here. Saul Who? Who cares about this bullcrap?
The big majorities won’t help. Obama won’t be able to wait and will “rule” by executive orders.
As for Saul Alinsky, for goodness sake, google it.
