It’s interesting to see how Ginger White’s cell phone history with Herman Cain has morphed. Think he’s on record as making late-night or early morning phone calls or sending late-night or early-morning texts to her? So do a lot of people.
But think again. These are the actual allegations as originally reported:
She showed [Fox in Atlanta] some of her cell phone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to or from a number starting with 678. She says it is Herman Cain’s private cell phone. The calls were made during four different months– calls or texts made as early as 4:26 in the early morning, and as late as 7:52 at night.
So, if we’re going to talk about this, let’s get it straight. The messages were calls or texts, and they were to or from Cain. And unless you think 7:52 is late at night, the only late ones were so late they were early. We do not know whether those were made by Cain or by White, either; it certainly might have been White herself doing the off-hours calling or texting.

How in heaven’s name did Ginger White get these private numbers? Why would he have any sort of relationship with this woman who is not a relative? And Cain also apparently gave her money. The odds are very high that he had a sexual relationship with this woman.
Believe it or not, David, some of us just do good deeds for acquaintances without sex being involved. I dropped almost $500 on an attractive lady I know who showed up at my door night before Thanksgiving and stayed in my home for two nights while my wife is out of the country. And I did NOT sleep with her.
She had three kids in tow, having been just tossed out by her husband (while on a trip to visit his family; sometimes I want to disown my gender). I put together as normal a Thanksgiving as I could for the kids, then made sure they had the resources for the 1,000 mile drive back home and to make sure food was in the house.
Also worked with young ladies in Africa associated with my charity work, having supplied for their needs for years at and after the orphanage. Haven’t had sex with any of those girls either.
Some people are like me and not you, David; deal with it.

And 4:26 isn’t that early for a text message if the recipient is on the West coast while the sender is on the East coast.
My thought exactly. If you’re on the east coast sending a message to someone on the west coast, it easily could show up at 4:26am on their phone. Without specifics of who sent which message to whom at what time and where they were, the times are not particularly meaningful. Heavens, if one of them were in Europe, we’re looking at 6 hours difference to the east coast, right?

While I would not vote for Cain simply because his experience is a bit too lacking, these accusations in my mind are brought on by the Axelrod cabal; going back to Ryan in Illinois when his ‘sealed’ divorce records were opened also by the Axelrod goons to elect Obama,this smearing of Cain appears to be calculated as well to eliminate the threat of the black vote going to him vs Obama should he win the primaries.
