The full video is here. However, this is the only appearance she makes in the video, so there is no further “context” which could mollify her words.
The phrase “Zionist Jew” is a euphemism used by modern far-leftists and American Islamists to substitute for the less acceptable “dirty Jew.”
Technically, a “Zionist Jew” is a Jew who supports the existence of Israel, but the Jew-haters use that as an identifying factor to classify any pro-Israel Jews as the enemy, while the self-hating brainwashed far-left anti-Israel Jews have sufficiently de-Jew-ified themselves to be acceptable.
But as soon as you hear the phrase “Zionist Jew” coming out of someone’s mouth, you know they are attempting to euphemize their anti-Semitism. It’s the phrase used by radical Islamists in America and Europe, so they can claim they’re not really against all Jews, you see, just “Zionist” Jews. This also gives cowardly Jews a way out — if only you were to drop your support of Israel, then we won’t kill you in the next Holocaust!

The Jewish state is the only country in the world that large numbers of people want to eliminate. That in itself is a manifestation of anti-Semitism. That such sentiments are also, at least in the West, motivated by anti-Semitism goes without saying. Anti-Zionism is the respectable face of anti-Semitism. It is the great evil of our time, and the fact that it is so popular in Europe in particular is proof positive that nothing if anything has changed in that place since the Holocaust.
“American” is not an ethnicity or religion so your question is nonsense.
One can dislike American policies without hating one and every ethnicity and religion that comprises America. This diversity doesn’t exist within Israel but it doesn’t mean that if Israel raises a trade tariff I don’t like that I hate Jews.
When you use the phrase “radical Islamist,” what is that a euphemism for? Somehow I suspect that it is no less loaded than her use of “Zionist Jew,” which, as you point out, simply means a jewish person who supports Israel as a nation.
The problem is that the Occupy Movement is all about that which unites 99% of the people in this country–the desire to live witin a political system that holds elections rather than auctions; a system that represents their interests rather than the interests of multi-national corporations; a system that is fair and just.
It is NOT about focusing on that which divides us. This movement is about faith, but certainly not religion.

“Anti-zionism”, in practice, means someone who believes that the Jewish state — and ONLY the Jewish state — is illegitiamte; and that Jews — and ONLY Jews — have no right to a homeland or to national self-determination; that murdering Jews — and ONLY Jews — in terrorist attacks with the goal of elimination the Jewish state is “resistance” and “freedom fighting”. This is simply another way of saying “I think Jews should be killed and expelled”, which is antisemitism.
“Anti-zionism” also, in practice, inevitably means holding a massive double standard where any Jewish act of self-defense is “zionist agression”, while bombing Jews in school buses is “freedom fighting”. Antizionism is not the same as criticism of a particular Israeli government or policy. Those are very distinct. Israelis in general tend to be very critical and contentious. Israeli protestors have shown up if far greater numbers per capita than the small numbers in the US and have and would defend the nation with their lives.
This woman inserts the term “Zionist” before “Jewish” with little thought or understanding. She does not need to think past that because once you have said “Zionist” you are exempt from the charge of anti semitism. Then she makes a clear classical anti Semitic slur about Jews controlling the money.

Zionism is not really a relevent term among Jews or supporters of Israel anymore. I only hear it from antisemites. The Zionist ideal is already done with. The concept came about when some European Jews became aware that they would never be accepted and would be subject to persecution until they established a distinct nation state. I checked into the CEOs of the top 5 banks in the US. These banks are so big that the others hardly count. The number of Hindus is equal to the number of Jews (1). The Hindus win because the Hindu run bank (Vikram Pandit of Citigroup) is much larger than the Jewish one (Blankfein of Goldman Sachs).

Yes indeed — you speak the simple truth about how the evil Jews control the world and how they must be eliminated or expelled, and, all of a sudden, people think you hate Jews for some reason.
It is curious that there is much more open discussion and more different points of view about these issues in Israel than the United States. The truth is that there is anti-semitism in nearly any venue in U.S. society just as there is racism. This doesn’t mean that specific issues raised in a venue can’t be valid. In my coverage of the Wall Street protests for community radio I have neither seen nor heard any anti-Semitism nor have I seen Nazis, although I have seen Jewish friends participating. This is not to say anti-semitism, racism and Nazis don’t exist, given that, unlike highly regimented party conventions for example, the anti-Wall Street movement is an open setting and anybody can walk in on it and say whatever they want to. I have a feeling that when people are trying to tarnish a movement by selecting out particular voices, possibly with setups and agent provocateurs, as has been happening recently, they are raising red herrings to bash down legitimate concerns and demands and negate the voices of the vast majority of the participants. It is telling that there is no rational discussion in such reporting of what other things are happening, what others are saying, or any sort of serious analysis of issues being raised by the protests.
